I live in a frat house here at NYU, about 3 blocks away there is a Jehovah Witness temple of what ever they are called. So basically for the past year or so I've lived here they come to our house about twice a week. I'm a nice guy, I'm not one of the people who throws stuff at them or slams the door in their face. I just tell them I'm not intreted, i'm Catholic and they usually go on their way leavening a few pamphlets in the mailbox.

But why do they aways have to come and ring our very loud doorbell at times before 9am in the morning. I don't get up before 11am on most days, let alone 9.... it is the most annoying thing ever to have to get up and goto the door just to see the Jehova witness standing there again.

Is there some way I can tell your people to stop coming to my door, or at least wait in till after supper or something?

Um. No.

Although, some like to put us under the cult label along with the JW's.

We both share the same theology regarding the state of the dead. Other than that...

I do appreciate the strong family values and morals I see promoted in the Watchtower however.

Your certainly not the first one to think that. I understand they came from the same group of folks who started our denomination long ago. However, they are not the same by a long shot. I always wondered why they didn't have windows in their churches. Anyone know the answer to that one?

God Bless

A good friend of mine, the pastor who brought me to christ says this to people that come to his door with religious stuff.
Pastor GREG said:
When they knock and aks things I say, I'm not interested, as I am happily set in my faith. Though I admire your strength and commitment to spread christ through doorknocking, as I know from experience it is hard, and challenging. Then I offer them something to eat or drink

I thought a great way to handle it, and a great christian thing to do. But for your case mate, I'd either tell the church to it's face, contact them, or tell the doorknockers, that don't come so early. No wonder hardly anyone like you door knockers, you're always waking us up!!!!LOL.
