In searching for Gods truth I have read sermons from many denominations (Baptist have the best, they are 'fire eaters') and began to notice something. They were many that were very much like political speaches, fill with words but no understanding. Preachers that could read the scriptures but did not have a discerning spirit to find the truth which they need to teach. I good example is the sermons on creation, yes seven is a 'perfect number' for creation and they wax eloquently on the seven days of creation but then the sermon ends with very little for the listener (or reader). Those who preach are not just to lead in reading the scriptures but to teach from the scriptures for the edification and building of the body of Christ...
