Peace in Christ.
His body…the church….has been baptized with the same baptism He had endured. His body…the church…has also gone through suffering and death just as Him.
Mar 10:38-39 KJV
(38) But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?
(39) And they said unto him, We can. And Jesus said unto them, Ye shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized:
We are the “temple of His body” that has been destroyed.
Joh 2:18-22 KJV
(18) Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?
(19) Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
(20) Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
(21) But he spake of the temple of his body.
(22) When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
This is not about the physical temple. We are His temple…the one that has not one stone left upon another. When Jesus spoke of "bread," His disciples thought He was talking about literal bread but He was not. The same principle applies here. Jesus is not telling about the literal temple but about His church...the temple of His body.
Mat 24:1-2 KJV
(1) And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
(2) And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
We are those “living stones” that is supposed to be built up a spiritual house.
1Pe 2:5 KJV
(5) Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
But the “people of the prince that SHALL COME” have come forth and have destroyed the “temple of His body.” They are preaching that Jesus SHALL COME some day and not that He IS COMING NOW in the flesh...our mortal flesh (the manifestation of the Son of man.) They are preventing His life from appearing in this earth.
Dan 9:26 KJV
(26) And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
His manifest life in our mortal flesh (the Son of man) is being delivered NOW unto the chief priests and unto the scribes (the church rulers and their handwritings of ordinances.) They are condemning Him to death as they are preventing His life to be made manifest in the mortal flesh of those who they are “ruling” over in their churches.
And while this has been going on inside the man-based churches, the people of the outside world (the “gentiles”) mock Him and scourge Him and spit upon Him. They actively blaspheme His holy Name while the church rulers prevent His life from being made manifest in their congregations.
Mar 10:33-34 KJV
(33) Saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles:
(34) And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him: and the third day he shall rise again.
He is not there in the “grave” of the man-based churches where there is no work, and plan, and knowledge, and wisdom.
Why seek Him among the man-based churches where He is staying crucified in the minds of the “dead” ….as they are “dead” in their trespasses and sins? Why seek the living among the “dead” man-based churches?
Luk 24:4-8 KJV
(4) And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:
(5) And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
The Son of man (His manifest life in our mortal flesh) is being delivered into the hands of sinful men and has been crucified among them. It has been in their power to crucify Him. His life is not there among them. It is not being made manifest among them.
(6) He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,
(7) Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
(8) And they remembered his words,
They are claiming that “here is the Christ” or there…believe them not. His is not found in the man-based churches...the dead man-based churches.
Mar 13:21-22 KJV
(21) And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:
(22) For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
He is not there among the “dead” man-based churches where they are keeping His manifest life “crucified.” He is not there for He is risen now. If Jesus is indeed risen now, we are to have resurrected life NOW in this mortal body. They are keeping His life "crucified" by their false teachings. His life is not being made manifest among them....and so we must depart from the "dead" churches. We must no longer be attached to a "dead body."
Mar 16:6-8 KJV
(6) And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.
We are to go forth from the “grave” …the man-based churches. We are to follow Him out of them and go into “Galilee”…the circle of the nations…the world.
(7) But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.
They went out quickly and fled from the sepulchre for they trembled and were amazed.
(8) And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid.
We must also go OUT QUICKLY and flee from the “grave”…the man-based churches. They will persecute you for doing so. But we are to not be afraid of their terror neither be troubled. Give them a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.
1Pe 3:14-17 KJV
(14) But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;
(15) But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
(16) Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.
(17) For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.
His body…the church….has been baptized with the same baptism He had endured. His body…the church…has also gone through suffering and death just as Him.
