I'm sorry, but this makes no sense.

How can you reject two scientific theories if you have 'embraced the scientific method'?
The scientific method is making statements of fact based on experimental, and observable data...macroevolution and the origin of the universe have not (and will not) ever be observed.

Simple, Because neither of those theories embrace the scientific method. They might as well be mythologies, as opposed to Theories.

The fact that some one slapped a "Scientific" label on them, does not make it so, any more then Federal Express (FedEx), is part of the Federal Government.

No, but if the Federal Government says it's part of the Federal Government, of if the entire consensus of the scientific community says that such and such is a scientific theory, then that stands. When every scientist in the field, and virtually every scientist outside the field, says "this is a sound scientific theory" trying to deny it shouldnt' carry much weight.

The OP asked for the views of Christians who believe in Theistic Evolution. Those who don't should take their debates to the appropriate forum.

Oooo good point, It seems in the end of things, I should not have responded, as I do not really believe in Theistic Evolution.

Bowing out now.

Bah! I believe that whatever happened, happened. I don't believe in the whole creationism ordeal. I believe that God would be clever enough to make things as they continue to show today. People think that they disprove the other, but they do not. Evolution only states that things change through time and adapt, get better. Then people bring up the argument that we were created in God's image... But my mother and I had a chat a few years ago before she died... and it made sense to me. How could you consider this flesh prison to be anything like God and His image? Because it just isn't. We eventually leave our bodies. Then what? So by faith, i believe that things happened as they did. It wouldn't be against the bible to view things this way. The bible, as we all know, is symbolic in nature. And no one was around during that time. We had to take what was actually recorded that was God inspired. And we all know that man's ability to comprehend and perceive is nothing in comparison to God's. So there are things that we may never be able to understand. We just have to make the best of what we do know.

I actually didn't know that they had a name for it. :D

As a Christian I do not spend a lot of energy obsessing over evolution and origin theories.

It is extremely clear to me that intelligent design is necessary. Imagine how long the complexity of our physiology would require -- not just humans, but every creature and ecosystem estabished.

The earth couldn't possibly be old enough to allow for this refinement, and the stages of the sun's life cycle (as a star) would not support the correct temperature to sustain this ongoing development.

From
http://www.brynmawr.edu/Acads/Geo/Geo101/sun.html:

The Sun's Life Cycle

...Cloud gas and dust triggered by supernova explosion ...
As matter falls inward gravitational is energy converted to heat.

Also the explosion made many unstable elements - radioactive decay of these contributed to raise T within collapsing dust cloud.

As it collapses, it rotates faster and faster to conserve angular momentum. The rapid rotation forces some of original material to form disc around central body.

When reaches about 800,000 oK proton-proton chain starts. Contraction continues, T increases, luminosity increases, much gas dissipated.

... - relatively quiescent fusing H to He in core. - sun started He 27%, now 62% will be 100% in 6 billion years...

Gradually brightens. During next 1.1 billion years sun will get 10% brighter (earth oceans will boil away)

6.5 billion years from now sun will have more than doubled its present luminosity, exhausted H in core - H fusion moves outward, outer layers swell - and cool

The changes in temperature are drastic.
