I gave an answer to that in post #10. Anyway, in the 10 months I've been here, I think I've seen three Hindus, I think only one has posted in the last few months. We can't hate 'em and condemn 'em if they don't show up. I suppose we could take a lesson from the atheists here, and go sign up on Hindu forums in order to tell them what fools and terrible people they are.
But I want to be constructive: the OP seems geared toward the idea that Christians are falling down on the job, and not hating up to their full potential. I disagree; I blame the hate-ees; they need to do their part too. With that in mind, I've produced a short pamphlet - "So You Want To Be Hated By Christians..." Here are a few pointers from it:
Step 1: Numbers - make there be a lot of you; Christians can't hate you if they don't know you're there
Step 2: Vociferousness - be loud and "in your face". Short, aggressive propaganda slogans are helpful (e.g., "We're Hindu! We're Near You! Get Used To It!")
Step 3: Compare your group's "struggle" to the American blacks' civil rights movement (this alienates more than just Christians, but the cheap emotional appeal may actually pick up a few fence-sitters)
Step 4: Maintain an insulting air of superiority - communicate the erroneous idea that "we represent the future, and the future is all good; you represent the past, and the past is all bad"
Step 5: Language manipulation - Negative example: invent the word "Hinduphobia" - this word says that those who disagree with you do so because they suffer a mental illness. Positive example: Consider dropping the label "Hindu" altogether; call yourself "happy" or "glad"
Step 6: Co-option of existing positive icon - if most people think a sunrise is pretty and pleasant, make the sunrise your graphic symbol. Use on bumper stickers, t-shirts, banners, etc.
Step 7: Obnoxious and irrational spokespersons - what you're looking for is a Hindu Rosie O'Donnell.
Follow all these steps faithfully, and before you know it, you might turn on the TV one day to see your group's name on a Westboro Baptist Church picket sign!
Good Luck!
What a strange thing to say. However, if you'd be willing to go to a Hindu board and tell them that they're horrible people, you'd pretty much disprove my point. There are plenty of Christians who do that to gays right now...but in public.
