I have yet another question...Why does God give physical miracles to some and not to others. My background....
God? has saved my physical life twice.
I have never told anybody this, because it sounds so crazy, but I quess on the internet it is ok, plus I have always wondered about it.

So I am walking home very late one night. It is 2 am in the morning, and I have been studying at my friend house. I was thinking about my test the next day when I heard a voice say..

11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

I had never even heard of that verse at the time. Skeptic that I am I kind of snorted and said to myself "I wonder if that is true" The very next second I heard this loud growling, and looked down and there was a large rotweiler mix crouched and ready to strike, its ears were back, and it was ready to strike. All of sudden I feel this strong push on my back forcing me to walk away. A block away I kind of shook off a trance and could not believe what had happened. This was completly against my nature to just walk away from a growling dog without panicking. It was strange because my mind was at peace and blankness, never have felt this feeling since.

Second, I was standing at a light waiting to cross when I felt this huge push and I stumbled backwards. A second after that a car ran over the sidewalk where I was standing. It was going very fast to avoid the red light. I think I would have been killed or seriously injured.

Nothing that spectacular since, though common to many people I have had close calls, that makes me thank God.

My question, why me? There are plenty people who die painful random deaths. I am glad not to be mauled by a dog, or run over by a car, but it makes me wonder why. I don't know what to think.

For what it matters, my faith, though at times unconvential, has always be very strong and personal since I was four. I have never felt abandoned by God, I have always felt like I have a close companion.

Love to hear some opinions. Thanks.

My older brother has had similar experiences. The lights turned green and he was about to drive off but he sat there like in a trance and then a car ran the red light and would have hit him if he had taken off fast like he usually does.

God is able to speak to us all in different ways I guess and teach us to have a greater and deeper faith in Him. For some they dont need to see miracles to fulfil the purpose for which God call us to do..others....will go through many trials and see many things before they will take the step God has set before them in the path He set before they were even born.

No one can question why God does anything. All one can do is ask for guidance and have faith.
You will be surprised at what God lets you know when you allow it. Do not focus. Just accept God's will.
If one accepts Christ, then one is not of the flesh. The pain of the flesh has no impact on the spirit.
I say this because I have a tendency to do ask for guidance with something in particular.
When I just ask for guidance the answers to what is important is given.

I remember a story from many years about a woman in an airplane. I don't remember the extact details, or if it is true but here goes. I'm sure it was on one of those strange but true shows.

Obviously between taking off and landing you're allowed to take of your seatbelt. She had done so and nothing strange was happening or no reason to believe anything strange would happen. She was just sitting whe she head an audiable voice say "fasten your seatbelt". She looked around and no one was looking at her and there was no sign up to say seatbelts should be fastened. She asked the man next to her what he said and he told her he hadn't said anything. She fastened it anyway and not long after something happened with the plane. I think (my memory is hazy) that a door in the plane burst open or some kind of damage was inflicted on the plane leaving a hole near where the woman sat. Those close to the hole who weren't belted in were sucked from the plane to their deaths.

The pilot was able to make an emergency landing safely but those close to the dorr/damage died. The woman survived because the voice had told her to fasten her seatbelt. someone else here might have heard story or seen the show it was on,

Thats what I am talking about, why did that woman hear the voice that told her to fasten her seatbelt? Why were the people near her sucked to their deaths and not her? Every time I read a story like that I wonder, since I was the benificairy of a similar event. There is no reason I was not killed by a dog or a car, but for the strange events that stopped them. I have led a charmed life and I am not sure why. I am no different than anybody else.

What we do for others does it does not always mainfest immediately. When I was in grade school I was approached by a younger fellow who said 'hey are you x y', I said 'yeah who wants to know.' He said 'z', and 'I just want you to know I think its cool how you handled stopping that fight the other day.' I had no idea what he was talking about but I thanked him for the compliment nonetheless. I see the same with my children today. Things I do thinking nothing about they put great stock in. I thank God many times for guiding me as I am far from the Godly example without his help.
