  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I've found that people ask questions like yours for a couple of possible reasons.

One is to start an arguement to make their belief known, or to verbally bash people they dislike for their faith. The other is that they really fear that they may be wrong in their disbelief. It takes courage to realize that you might really believe already, or want to make sure you are right in your disbelief.
Or, could it be that we're perfectly comfortable with our disbelief, and just wonder what it is that so blindly causes people to believe in something? Tpt isn't here to start any arguments, neither am I.

And do I need to start with the scientific impossibilities of Noah's flood? Or shall Tpt and myself bring over our friend the physicist? Water could not completely flood the Earth, period; water always tries to stay at a constant level, meaning if the level is very high one place it will flow to another place with a lower water level until they are even. And the earth SURE couldn't be covered in water and then have all the water recede in such a short time.

Humans and this earth could have only gotten here by two different ways: God or by accident. There is no third choice, right? It is now scientifically proven impossible for that many cells to have formed accidently. There is even a formula or equation or whatever you call it to prove this. There are some very good books out there that talk about this.

how are you so sure that God exists and accually cares about you?
God can talk to you. Click below and read my tract if you want to know what I'm talking about....or PM me.
What happened before God? Or before the earth, Because the bible suggests that God was around before Earth
People don't know everything yet.
Why Is the Bible correct. It's not written by God you know, how do you know its not just a very elaborate piece of fiction?
The Bible was inspired by God meaning His Holy Spirit told people what to write. There are many many many copies of the exact same words that are the Bible....from different parts of the world. If the research is done, it is OBVIOUS there is a God. If you have any questions, pm me. I usually only visit once per thread.
