Why then, do you observe things such as the Sabbath?

I am asking specifically then, do you observe Sabbath as a law that you must follow to gain your salvation?

The eighth day circumcision appeared to be an important day for the Hebrew Jews in the OT, with the sign of the circumcision on the 8th day being one of them.

I looked up "eighth" in a concordance and what I found was pretty profound.

The word "eighth" is used only 5 times in the NT, only 1 time in the Gospels, and that at the circumcision of John the Baptist in Luke 1:

Luke 1:59
So it was, on the eighth day, that they came to circumcise<4059> the child;
and they would have called him by the name of his father, Zacharias.

And in Acts concerning Abraham and Isaac:

Act 7:8 [Genesis 21:4]
“Then He gave him the Covenant of circumcision;
and so Abraham begot Isaac and circumcised him on the eighth day;
and Isaac begot Jacob, and Jacob begot the twelve patriarchs.

Paul describes how he was circumcised on the 8th day, being of the tribe of Benjamin ,who was born last in the OT <Genesis 35:18> and shown last in <Revelation 7:8>

Philippians 3:5
circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin,
a Hebrew of the Hebrews; concerning the law, a Pharisee;

Now this just floored me. The last 2 of the 5 verses listed in the NT...
I just now found this and the fact that the 8th in the NT primarily signifies "circumcision", perhaps this is related to it?
[the priestly tribe of Levi is also mentioned 8th in order of the 12 tribes in Reve 7]

Circumcision used to incapacitate an enemy before killing them......

Anyone else see a connection between the Rich man in Luke 16 and the Queen in Revelation 18?,

This is all OC Hebrew symbology, and appears to primarily be about the Priesthood and Temple

The same form of the word #1737 is used only in one other verse
