Why is that when i worship...

... I feel some sort of heat wave washing over me? Sometimes it becomes so hot that I start sweating. And this often happens only when I'm channelling all my thoughts and focus unto God as I worship Him (whether it's in my own room or at church). I've asked my brother and he mentioned something about the 'fire of God' but I can't find it anywhere in the Scriptures?

That's the Holy Spirit. It says in the bible (Sorry I don't have the exact verses) when they were waiting in the upper room after Jesus ascended that the Holy Spirit decending upon them like tounges of fire over their heads. We don't literally see the "fire", but we can feel it. You can see it on other's too. It's the presence of God. You are truly blessed to be instantly filled with just the mention or thought of God. It takes most of us longer, to sift through our daily distractions and turn our focus completely on Him. Oh to be so close! You are blessed indeed! Enjoy!

Jesus inhabits the praises of His people. Those who worship in spirit and in truth will enjoy times where the power and presence of God is so strong they physically feel something. Some feel "heat", some "warm oil", and others cannot stand it gets so strong. Enjoy this time with God - it's precious.

Nice! I gotta say I have a righteous jealousy for an experience like that. I long to be close to God! I pray that I can get through everything that's holding me back, by the Grace of God He'll lead me to His Presence.

Thanks for posting the scriptures, I felt so bad for not being able to do it myself before.

We had one of those awesome moments today in church. Actually the best part was during practice before the service even started! We had some "get down to it" all out worship. It was awesome. The team was truely blessed today. PTL
