In my Church we worship on Sunday because it is the Lords Day but we do not consider it the Sabbath. We view it as the mystical eighth day. Sunday ,the day of resurrection, is far greater then the Sabbath of old in our tradition. We do have a Vespers service on Saturday as well though.

As the title says, why Sunday as the Sabbath?
Sunday is not really the sabbath, though some traditions use that word for it. Rather, on Sunday we celebrate Jesus' resurrection (the anticipation of ours) and therefore the beginning of New Creation. As John 20 says twice, On the first day of the week...

Saturday is actually the Sabbath. Just like it is for the Jews. Sunday is the Lord's Day (in honour of his Resurrection).

Saturday, as the Sabbath, is a day of rest and contemplation that prepares us for the celebration of the Lord's Day. In denoms that celebrate the Eucharist, it's also a day of purifying yourself in preparation to receive the Body and Blood of Christ.

The Saturday Sabbath also honours Holy Saturday, the day that Christ "rested" in the tomb (between Good Friday and Easter Sunday).

Hope that helps answer your question.

We were told that sabbath means to rest from Labor taken from the Hebrew (shabath) Although it is traditionally held on the seventh Day, for Christians most of the key or turning point events happened on the first day of the week, so in respect to these events, and to separate ourselves a little more from Judaism we hold the 1st day as our day free from labor.

to separate ourselves a little more from Judaism

This is the biggest reason that christians worship on sunday, it was instituted way, way back about 17 or 18 hundred years ago by the church fathers who didnt want to have anything to do with the Jews. Along also came christmas and easter at the same time.

Shabbat, is held from sundown on fridays until sundown saturdays and celebrates the creation of the world by God and the rest he instituted on the seventh day, and is also a memorial of the exodus from Eygpt.
