It's just a strange thing to say. It's like "I'd rather my face get eaten by birds than have a charlie horse" You may not like either of those things but one's way worse. They aren't even in the same field.

It's not, I think it gets the Point across that I really don't support Osama, I mean Obama.

Oh yeah. Your point is made with ridiculous rhetoric. The problem is everyone can see that the comparisons you're making (Pol Pot and Osama) have no basis in reality and so assume you're just demonising him to smear his campaign as opposed to engaging in rational discussion of the issues.

Joanna,

Please explain to me how Obama's stance is more Christian. I see nothing, as a Conversative Christian American that stands in line with my faith.

Again, what I am finding more and more interesting is how non-Americans are commenting on our elections. Their information is not based completely on what is actually happening here in the US.

I would vote against Obama and I am because his stance doesn't line up with my Christian values.

Also, the assertion about abortion you have given is incorrect. There are possibilities of having abortions come in that are dealin with the last trimester and so forth. It is a huge issue in this country and should be treated equally as other issues.

I believe I am now more ashamed of Christians sayng what was posted in the above post. If Christ had said something along that lines, where would we be?

J

I also feel that Obama is more in line with my Christian values, but what I really want to comment on is the bolded. The US is currently the most powerful nation in the world. It is ridiculous to think that non-US citizens (I hate using the term Americans because all people of North and South America are Americans) would not want to think/talk about US national politics. Who we elect as the next president of the US is going to have a big impact on world affairs and people of other countries should be informed in how that may affect them. That was one of the reasons that I had non-US citizens vote in the poll in my US presidential election thread.

I am so glad you said that, it really brings home to me that ignorance is everywhere. Even in religious people.

Not ignorance, a Conscious CHOICE that I made to NOT support Obama due to the fact that I don't agree with any of his Policies/philosophies.

Jeeze, some people really can't get over the fact that some people just don't see Obama as the Paragon of Virtue that the Democrats make him out to be

You'd be amazed at how many people still to this day think he's Muslim. AND how people don't like him because his name is too similiar to Osama and that his middle name is Hussien. Like he had any say when he was born. I am sure the campaign did that to put fear into people's minds about him. Just propaganda. As you can see, it's working. Politicians know exactly what they are doing.

I agree with this. I was talking to a friend from Australia and he was amazed at how many people in the US don't exercise their right to vote or don't take it seriously considering that our elections impact other countries.

You are most correct. I'm amazed that the majority of people don't bother to vote. The US really should have compulsory voting (in my opinion), voting is something that all people need to take part in.

Chris,

I agree with you. I do not trust the man nor do I trust his motives.

Looking at the polls today, I would say that this country is spilt down the middle and for once with the more groupies on the Democrat side.

Reanimaton,

Making a vote compulsory would take away our freedom that has been established.

It is our right to vote or not to vote, no matter your view on it.

I am more concerned of the illegals that are voting then those who are making the choice to not vote.

It would probably be deemed unconstitutional. I guarantee it.

I hate name calling in politics. Why can't people have a difference of opinion without name calling and labeling. That is exactly why many people choose not to discuss politics. Some people have no common courtesy.

Consider it a civic duty, like paying tax or compulsory education. That's how it is seen in Australia. ;)
