  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Why is Christianity declining?

When anyone exhorts including "ritual & symbol", I have to question who their principal input is.
I am not sure what you mean. Are there specific people who you avoid?

At least I do not have to post deceptive post and try to make is sound like i agree with your works based theology.

Your dishonest theology shines through, too bad many can not see it.
This may help you understand why we will leave our sin
Antinominalists believe that we do not leave our sins. But it is illogical for a believer to continue in sin.
Analogy:

A father and son go camping by a river. The father knows the river is infested with crocodiles and warns his son, “Don’t go fishing here. It’s infested with crocodiles.”
Ignoring his father’s warning, the son hops into a little dingy and casts his line into the water. After some time, the crocodiles begin to circle and then hit the boat knocking the boy into the water. The father, hearing his son’s screams runs and dives into the water. He fights off the crocodiles with his bare hands, shielding his son from their deadly bites. One crocodile latches onto the father’s leg, tearing into him. Despite the pain and blood loss, the father manages to drag his son out of the water and back onto the safety of the wharf.
Exhausted and bleeding, the father collapses.
Now, a normal person, seeing the great sacrifice his father made would never go back to fishing in the boat. That would be horrendous.
But imagine if it did happen.
The father drags the son to the safety of the wharf and the son says, “Thanks, Dad. I really appreciate what you did. You know, it was actually kind of exciting in that boat amongst the crocodiles. You wouldn’t mind if I get another boat and go out again, would you?”
If that son could think such a thing, let alone speak it, the blind fool has not seen the sacrifice of the father.
Likewise, Jesus died on the cross for our sins. If someone sees the great sacrifice Jesus did on the cross, then they would run from sin. They would not continue. So, those that continue have not seen or understood what was done on the cross.

You should let Jesus and other God inspired writers, illustrate Biblical truths. When men try they end up creating these false analogies.

Jesus never promised believing in Him will remove the earthly sin nature of the person. Who has believed in Jesus for God's free gift of Eternal Life salvation, while they are still living in there birthed earthly body.
