Maybe you should read up
from Catholic sources on all these things you protest about the Church. But first, you should read the rules of this forum. I was a Protestant my whole life and converted to Catholicism in 2004. You should not assume Catholics are ignorant of Scripture.
I guess it would be a good conversation starter to those who don't have Christ as their savior but other than that all other traditions have been done away with. Even confession boxes I haven't understood yet why people think that does anything to help your sins be forgiven

I asked why do people confess in confession boxes. I remember my mom told me I needed to do that to get confirmed and I also was under the impression that as long as I was baptised and confessed to the priest in the confession box and got confirmed that I was going to heaven. It took me years to find out that I had to accept Jesus Christ as my savior and confess my sins to him and then be baptised. I'm not bashing anybody by the way, I was just laying out my experience. Maybe it was just a bad church

People go to confession because it is in Scripture and Christian Tradition. You can only be baptized once so if your baptized again you just got wet and there is more to being a Christian than just saying one pray. You see Catholic, Orthodox, Anglican and other Liturgical Christians have it right it is evangelicals that have it wrong

Some are probably christian. God's not concerned about the external also Jesus spoke of this type of practice. Read the book of Matthew chapter 6. Some things were done away with at the cross and now there's a new covenant. Ashes can't wash away your sins, neither can any other made object or tradition or man. Only by Jesus Christ will your sins be forgiven.
We know that ashes don't wash away sin. That isn't a point. And implying that Christians wouldn't get ashes is not welcome in OBOB.

Well it is good that you are following Christ but eventually you will want to have the fullness of faith and the RCC proclaims to hold the fullness of faith. Seriously, check out that thread I mentioned and it will help you understand the Catholic pov. You can always start a thread here if you have more questions.
Well I guess as long as your saved what all does it matter right?
