That strategy is always very peculiar, as they did the same thing when it came to Sarah Palain and John Mccain. Many swore they'd NEVER vote for Mccain because of his views on abortion (as he supported it ) and gay marriage (as he was on the Ellen Degeneres show advocating for it to the applause of the crowd)....and yet the moment he chose Palin, everyone kept quiet on it and said that they should vote for Palin. Some in certain church circles claiming she was like Queen Esther---and when she didn't get elected, they claimed that people didn't pray hard enough. I was floored and was shocked to see the ways that people acted as if it was "Palin/Mccain 2008" instead of the other way around and others even said "Well, Mccain is old and will die soon anyhow so Palin will be good to go in"------and even when she was critiquing the President on his views, many were noting where she actually advocated the same as he did when it came to abortion.

All of that said, it's so true what you noted when it comes to the ways people cling to cannidates because of how much they're against another (be it for reasons such as fear or propoganda or wanting change)---and yet they have no idea how often they simply do more of the same. With this election, I think it'd be wise for people to wise up if thinking "Well, mabye Romney will be influenced by Ryan" and know that it's the President who's in charge---and even then, both of them support policies that often harm single mothers or potential mothers when it comes to taking out support for them to raise children and thus be influenced to abort.

Noted. However, they are being taken to task with that removal by the left, not the right. So when it comes to echoing concern, the complaint is still there and consistant, by the left.

They are not given a free pass by "the people" because they have a "D" assigned to the platform.

Hopefully the "left" never gets into the office of POTUS if Obama is in the "center".

Essentially it's saying that recycling certain material actually ends up causing more polution to drive the extra truck to take it to the recycling plant since they get such a small percentage of reusable material from it.

This article goes on to endorse Gary Johnson. I won't be voting for GJ, because of him being more a libertarian. I think I might vote in James K. Polk, zombie president. Invading Mexico and threatening to invade and annex Canada up to Alaska just speaks to my demographic. ;-)

But seriously, any other liberals feel that way? You know you don't like Romney, and you like Obama personally, but you just can't stomach up the vote for him....

I'm frustrated, but I blame Congress, not Obama. We should have shown up in 2010 (well, I did, anyway) to give Obama a Democratic Congress instead of an obstructing Republican one. That's kind of on us.

People who say that Obama is in the center are likely seeing from their own point of view, to the left of Obama even.

Conservatives themselves are constantly saying that America is a center right country. I agree with them there. That means our whole classification of left and right is skewed in that direction. Europeans might view Obama as center right but in the US a lot of folks think he is far left.

That's why I say I'm a real liberal as opposed to that which often passes for liberalism in the US. The democratic party is only "liberal" (certainly not socialist in the least) by the heavily skewed perspective of modern American politics. Most the rest of the world recognizes Obama as center right and so do I. That's why I'm not voting for him.

Illuminaughty (and possibly Touma), if that's your reasoning for not voting for President Obama, just how do you think you will feel about Paul Ryan and Company in the White House? You just said that the "conservatives" are so far to the right that they are off the charts. So do you like what you're going to get, if Obama doesn't win?

You see, I am not voting for what Obama has done. They (Congress) wouldn't let him do anything. (He had to work with a Republican congress, and showed them up for the hardnosed idiots they are, by proposing center-right stuff that simply got shelved.) I am voting to make sure Paul Ryan and Company do not set foot into the Oval Office, because if they do, we are TOAST.

If he had done what America wanted when Democrats had control of Congress, they would not have been swept out of control. You can't lay all of Obama's failures on Republicans in Congress, because Democrats had the majority for the first two years.

And you're basing that on what? I'm not a huge Romney/Ryan fan either, but how can you say they're worse than the guy we've already got?

You can't blame republican congress:

Romney has many faults, but at least he was able to balance a budget while implementing healthcare changes...a skill we've yet to see from our deal leader BHO.

He has also drafted other education reforms, including the recruitment of 1,000 skilled math and science instructors, bonuses of as much as $15,000 a year for top-performing teachers, and new intervention programs for failing schools.

What has Obama done for the special interest groups that he tricked support out of?

Romney also voiced support for basic domestic partnership benefits for gay couples. Romney won the endorsement of the Log Cabin Club of Massachusetts

He also opposed an amendment, then before the General Court, that would have banned same-sex marriage and outlawed all domestic partnership benefits for gay couples. When campaigning in 2002, Romney's stated position was that "All citizens deserve equal rights, regardless of their sexual orientation. While he does not support gay marriage, Mitt Romney believes domestic partnership status should be recognized in a way that "includes the potential for health benefits and rights of survivorship"

One of the reasons I don't care for him is because of his position of supporting the federal weapons ban, but I would think that'd be considered a plus for your side.

What has Obama done with jobs?

The annual rate of job growth was improving by Romney's last year in office, moving Massachusetts up from last place nationally to 28th.

So...I would say that Romney is fairly liberal in many regards in comparison to other republicans.

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you weren't aware of the information I provided above...because if you were aware of it and still held that opinion, that would mean that you're willing to throw the economy, healthcare system, education, and job market down the toilet just to prevent abortion restrictions. I would like to think that nobody is that one-sided.

The funny thing is a vote for Obama is a vote for indefinite detention, rendition flights, torture, more war, more civilian casualties.

If anybody thinks that voting for Obama will somehow change any of that.. their are lost.
