In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. I have doubts about the world, when I look around me I do not see the universe Christians describe, I do not see the world they talk about, I ask why have faith? why should I beleive? and no answer is satisfactory,
doubt in the existance of God? A doubt in God pulling through? Or even a doubt in God's goodness?
Perhaps it is a doubt in who this God is, or is it many Gods? how do I know? why should I trust one book with miracles over another? Is this God really good? Does He care on what goes on here?

Christians say their God, will soon have a battle with Satan, and I ask who is this omnipotent God that needs to battle?

They say their God gave us a Bible, a book on how to live, and I ask , why does a God require a book? surely he can tell us in a more infallible method? and still there are no ansewrs,

So to sum everything up it is a doubt on all of the above, but mainly in why I should beleive

Could you be more specific.

I ask why have faith? why should I beleive? and no answer is satisfactory,

Perhaps it is a doubt in who this God is, or is it many Gods? how do I know? why should I trust one book with miracles over another?
You should trust the book because you know the God who provides it, not the other way around. One doesn't start by believing the bible, but by believing in God.

Is this God really good? Does He care on what goes on here?
Apparently so.

Christians say their God, will soon have a battle with Satan, and I ask who is this omnipotent God that needs to battle?
It's a metaphorical description of putting right what is wrong with the world.

They say their God gave us a Bible, a book on how to live, and I ask , why does a God require a book?
He chooses a book as a resource through which to teach us.

surely he can tell us in a more infallible method?
He doesn't want to tell us, he wants to teach us, and learning is never infallible.

and still there are no ansewrs,
Maybe the questions are more important than the answers.

So to sum everything up it is a doubt on all of the above, but mainly in why I should beleive
The only reason you should believe is because it's true.

You imply like there's an option of what reality we wish to have, as if we could pick and choose what is right, wrong, good, and bad. Yes, even recently I've had my doubts, but merely because I was confused about God and what he wants me to do. His ways are veiled and mysterious, but He has the right to what ever he wishes. In Job, we will learn that Satan is under God's power, so any 'battle' between the to would not be a combat as we would imagine it, but rather a sentence, or a judgement.

As far as God's methods not being to your liking, I would think it would be silly giving the sovereign Lord of the universe a speech on how He should have done things. What sense would it make to question the goodness of the one who defined what righteousness is? Does he care about what goes on here? Evidently, if he has provided us a way to escape sin.

Why should we believe in God? Why should we deny the truth and dwell in darkness? What sense does it make to rage against the hand that made you just because you don't understand it?

Things aren't easy in this world. The Lord wishes us to learn and grow to love Him. An easy way would not allow us to realize our own arrogance and need for Him. God has given us great ability to learn, more than mere adaption and survival, but also emotion and the desires of the heart. I don't claim to understand or even like some of the things going on the world, but I trust the Lord knows what He is doing, and even if I didn't, I'm sure He wouldn't step down from his sovereign rule just because I lost my way.

I could decide that nothing in life really matters and I'll live happy and successful life. I would then die with a smile on my face knowing in my last moments that I was ever-so-right, but what difference would that make to the truth? One could go about all of his life calling red blue and blue red, but what does that change about anything? I could be sure in my heart that this is the right thing, and that to call blue blue and red red was the worst thing in the world, but again, what does that change about anything?

Even though we are lacking in knowledge and understanding, our Heavenly Father has decided to use one of our own, that is to say Jesus, who was a man by all standards, to judge us so that our case would be fair.

How can this be fair? If you claim to have never known what God wanted in the first place... it is said that God has written his standards of right and wrong into our hearts (Roman 2:14-15), but as it is also written:

"The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness" (Romans 1:18)

More so on the matter:

"Therefore since we are God's offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone—an image made by man's design and skill. In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent." (Acts 17:30)

I see so many ideas, even in christianity have followed their own understanding about things because it made more sense to them, but that doesn't make them right. One's mind and heart can become sick, twisted, or wayward. I think the terrible things some have commited are already evident of this.

"So I also will choose harsh treatment for them and will bring upon them what they dread. For when I called, no one answered, when I spoke, no one listened. They did evil in my sight and chose what displeases me." (Isaiah 66:4)

I have doubts about the world, when I look around me I do not see the universe Christians describe, I do not see the world they talk about, I ask why have faith?
We all exercise faith in things that happen tomorrow. The question is whether a person will believe for the one God promises or not. Faith in tomorrow is as simple as believing one will receive a paycheck at the end of a work week, and God wants our trust.
why should I beleive? and no answer is satisfactory,
You have been given life and it is no accident as some would like to believe (have faith in). The works of God surround you and you enjoy them. It is inate that man would seek to know their Creator, and God speaks to us with the greatest language there is - life.
Perhaps it is a doubt in who this God is, or is it many Gods? how do I know? why should I trust one book with miracles over another?
The amount of effort we put into study and seeking tells us where our hearts are at, and we must seek if we want to find and to know the truth. Life promises us many good things and delivers, yet death stares us in the face along with the evil that men do. This condition of sin and death is fully explained within the Bible as the result of a choice given the first man and women on earth. In my opinion, without a choice, love does not fully exist, and God wanted the felowship of those in His image that were capable of loving Him back of a free will. God has shown great beauty, awesome design, and love towards His creation, but the greatest was by paying the penalty for sin and death for them with His oown life in the flesh - showing us what lengths love is capable of. By studying the Bible and the other books, you can see by comparison that the Bible is filled with the full extremes of blood and sin, pulling no punches just to make a nice book of axioms. It speaks truthfully of man's sinful condition and the extreme horror of death. The people within it are from many backgrounds spread over many years, yet they all agree on the birth of a Savior who would take away their sins and death itself.
Others have copied and plagerized, yet what enemy, being the opposite of God and offering all that opposes Him, would be a worthy adversary if he did not make counterfeits to the truth? The devil plays that contrast to light, helping reveal what the light of God really is. It is part of reality in this dimension. We can deny that reality or think we could do better, but only in our imaginations. God knows how to make things live, and that takes the complicated prossess of growth. No snapping the fingers or saying abracadabra can replace the growth that takes place in life to form character in a person.
Is this God really good? Does He care on what goes on here?
Ofcourse God loves and cares for us. He speaks to us all with life, and we see that life marred with sin and death everyday as a witness and testimony to the truth written in the Bible. If a person studies, prays, and asks that God put that word inside them, they will be reminded of it each time they see those words played out in real life before them. God is good, first, in giving life, and then secondly by redeeming that which was lost to a curse of death with His own life in the flesh. We are twice His with the second time being paid for with His oown death and suffering at the cross for all of mankinds sins and hatred.
He is not limited to just the dimensions of a man, but transcends the three or four we are familiar with. I see that the scientists are now saying that there must be ten dimensions for the string theory or unifying theory of physical mathematics to work. Well, the Bible told us long ago that all the things we see are made of the unseen, and we are still discovering them. (Heb. 11:3)
Christians say their God, will soon have a battle with Satan, and I ask who is this omnipotent God that needs to battle?
The prophets of the two houses of Israel after they split following the reign of King Solomon, foretold that the house of Israel would be scattered into the Gentile nations and return as Sons of the Living God - as a mighty nation of people, with great number. They also foretold that the house of Judah would come back to the land of Israel and rebuild. Two thousand years ago, these prophets told us what is happening in history today. Zechariah spoke of Jerusalem being surrounded by enemies before the Lord Himself returned with His saints (Zech. 12-14). It is all there in the Bible, but it takes study of history and the ancient languages to really dig out the meat. Like anything worth a lot, it takes work and effort to build a complete understanding of and faith in, and the pieces are there for those who will seek with all their hearts. If we only want to find one answer, then it does not take long to be satisfied that it all means nothing. For me, the time came where I could not do that anymore.
They say their God gave us a Bible, a book on how to live, and I ask , why does a God require a book? surely he can tell us in a more infallible method? and still there are no ansewrs,
Why wouldn't God be able to give us a book inspired by His own Holy Spirit? The Bible says to let everything be established by two or more witnesses. The Bible is a second witness to life. If you read the book, you will see that it contains words of true life. It does not pull punches or try to be pretty. It gives full detail to the truth and horror of sin in man and the resulting death. What is wonderful about God is that the fisrt death leads only to resurrection where people give an accounting for the great gift of life they were given. Only HE, as Creator would be able to judge perfectly and righteously, although we often and arrogantly think we sinfully possess His great power in judgment by judging other for Him. We inherited that sin nature from our father of the flesh, Adam, and that is why Jesus was not born with a human father. By having God as His father, He was not born with a nature to sin and die, and was able to be that perfect spotless and sinless sacrifice for mankind - expressing God's great love for His creation in man.
So to sum everything up it is a doubt on all of the above, but mainly in why I should beleive
Here, again, you discount life itself and take it for granted as we all are prone to do in our fallen nature of flesh. Life says so much about God and His will to be known through love, yet life also is seen with the stain of sin and death. We see that humanity fits His descriptions in the Bible with study, yet even a child knows and asks why were they born. We were born because it was God's pleasure to give life. Life is complicated and wonderful, but with flaws that came because God gave man that choice to obey Him in His love and wisdom or follow after the lies of the devil who plays the role of contrast to His great light. In the end of all things, God takes His family and they build a new heavens and earth where there will be no need for darkness anymore. The seperations will have been made between those who will love and do good as God's people and those who will follow after the devil and evil.

Seeking is inescapable. God doesn't require blind faith from you but He does require seeking. If He wanted you to believe blindly it wouldn't make sense for Him to ask you to seek. But seek you must. You won't find anything until you do. And if you feel a desire to seek, you can bet it's from God, because the desire isn't natural.

They say their God gave us a Bible, a book on how to live, and I ask , why does a God require a book? surely he can tell us in a more infallible method? and still there are no ansewrs,

Personally I can't think of a better way to communicate than written language. And the Bible is not just one book, it is a collection of corroborative testimonies spanning 3 continents, dozens of authors/witnesses and thousands of years. Learning about God from one source would indeed be unwise.

So to sum everything up it is a doubt on all of the above, but mainly in why I should believe

Here's one good reason. Jesus! Jesus, as you probably know, is embraced by virtually every religion in the world. The Buddhists think He's a buddha. The Hindus think He's a guru, the muslims think He's a profit and even atheists think He was a good man. The New Testament contains the most detailed corroborative accounts of His life and teachings and the teachings of His hand picked disciples. And according to the manuscript evidence it is the best preserved ancient document in the world. This should at least prompt the seeker to read it, if you are indeed a seeker.

It sounds as though you are saying that you are reluctant to believe in what you cannot see, all of which is supposed to be true according to Christians who take those truths to be true independant of physical or visible evidence. I must admit, I would also like to see more physical evidence in manisfestation of biblical statements or beliefs, but have already decided that biblical statements are true regardless of whether I visually apprehend or intelligently comprehend them or not. I would like to see the heavens torn apart in an enormous noise and then be caught up into the blissful third heavens with Christ, Angels and Saints at His second coming, but will continue to believe in that future event upon biblical authority alone. I cannot see the wireless signal that is feeding my computer right now, but I will not doubt of it's existence since I can see the consequence of it upon my monitor. Nor can I see the Holy Spirit, but I know of His existence not only because of Biblical statements, but because of the miraculous changes in nature which I can see with so very, very many people. Everywhere we look we find unexplainable realities which one must accept based upon other, non-visual evidences. Someone had to make the world around you, it simply could not have been the result of a series of coincidental accidents. Such a theory is absurd to any sane, rational thought. Somebody of infinite properties had to make it. None of us either saw that Being or His creative work, but we still must conclude upon His existence from those visible works around us which we can see. It is an odd, but necessary relationship to knowing this God; You must "see" in order to believe, but you "see" in a spiritual sense more than in a physical one. Doubt will certainly breed if you try to justify this Being's existence from purely visible evidences alone, but when you learn to "see" with the eyes of your understanding enlightened, faith will spring up and displace doubt against all external opponents. What a hopeless predictament Moses had led the children of Israel into at the borders of the Red Sea...No worry, he had already "seen" the God of Abraham with the eyes of his understanding enlightened. The Egyptians had not so "seen" this God, and they were the one's who drowned in it's depths.

There is a paperback by Dr. D. James Kennedy called "Why I Believe". Of all that I have learned in 24 years as a Christian, that one book has been the most helpful to me as far as having evidence for my faith is concerned, especially the chapter entitled Why I Believe the Bible. I like the fact that it is written in layman's terms, so you don't have to be a theologian to understand it.

Christianbook.com Why I Believe

There are other excellent books that share the evidence that we have for our faith. Lee Strobel is one author. Josh McDowell comes to mind also. You might go to a Christian Apologetics section of a Christian bookstore to thumb through the books in person before you buy them. Sometimes they are quite complex.

I Googled "apologetics" and came up with this:
Prophecy, the Bible and Jesus

It discusses 15 of the many prophecies concerning Jesus and the mathematical probabilities for them all coming true.

Dear "WingsOfTheNeophyte,"

You said:
"I have doubts about the world, when I look around me I do not see the universe Christians describe, I do not see the world they talk about, I ask why have faith? why should I beleive?"

I'm not entirely sure on what you mean by this statement. :sorry: Just for clarification, do you mean something like, "How can there be a good and loving God when we see so much suffering and death?"

You said:
"Perhaps it is a doubt in who this God is, or is it many Gods? how do I know? why should I trust one book with miracles over another? Is this God really good? Does He care on what goes on here?"

Why should you trust one book over another? Perhaps because one book is accurate and God-breathed, while the others are merely man-made. For me, there are many reasons why I believe the truth of the Bible over other religious books, four reasons (Batten, D. 2002) are outlined here:

1. The Bible's scientific accuracy.
Some examples include: that the Earth is round (Isaiah 40:22); that the Earth is suspended in space without support (Job 26:7); and that the Pleiades is staying together cluster while Orion is moving apart (Job 38:31).
Many of the scientific verses in other 'holy' books have to be taken out of context and explained in such a way that you know the author never intended. But with these verses listed above, the verses are clear by themselves without anything added to them.

2. The Bible's prophet accuracy.
Josh McDowell, for one example, has documented 51 prophecies regarding Jesus alone. Many of these, such as His place, time, and manner of birth, betrayal, and manner of death, burial, etc, were beyond His control. For an example, Isaiah 53 was written almost 800 years before Jesus walked the Earth, yet it is a running commentary of the latter part of His life.

In addition to this, McDowell also documents 12 detailed and specific prophecies regarding Tyre, Sidon, Samaria, Gaza and Ashkelon, Moab and Ammon, Petra and Edom, Thebes and Memphis, Nineveh, Babylon, Jerusalem and Palestine. In his book Evidence That Demands a Verdict, he shows how these were not post-dictions, that is, written after the event. The probability of all these things coming true by chance is effectively zero.

One will search in vain for one line of accurate prophecy in other religious books.

3. The Bible's civilising and life-transforming message.
I believe that if a book is truly from God that it should have practical applications and really change people's lives. For example, the Bible's message elevated the blood-drinking "barbarians" of the British Isles to decency. It also brought the Pitcairn Islands back to a mini-utopia after crew of the HMS Bounty took over and turned the place into a sexually immoral hell-hole were murder and other evil acts were rife. It is an interesting piece of history to research. Even today the message of the Bible still transforms lives. Animistic tribal groups in the Philippines are today still being delivered from fear, and former cannibals in Papua New Guinea and Fiji now live in peace, all because of the Gospel.

This is not to mention countless of drunkards, criminals, prostitutes and so on who have had their lives transformed by the Gospel message.

4. The Bible's absolute honesty.
The Bible does not honour man, but God. The people in the Bible have feet of clay and are shown with warts and all. Against the backdrop of their sinfulness, letdowns, and unfaithfulness, God's holiness and faithfulness shine through. Even the great heroes of the faith have their failures recorded, while the enemies of God's people are often praised, for example Artaxerxes (Nehemiah 2).

These are clear indications that the Bible was not written from a human perspective in which human pride should often try to lift us up rather than place us down. Further more, it is un-natural to praise your enemies yet at the same time record your failures for all to see.

The Koran, for example, seems to exalt Muhammad (in spite of historical evidence that points to the contrary) and modern Muslim interpretations of the Koran also appear to up-lift the prophets as sinless besides their obvious failures which are emphasised in the Bible.

As for whether God is good and whether or not He even cares about us, you need only look at the grace He showed us at the cross to come to the conclusion that the Christian God is good and that He loves you and that He cares for you much more than what you'll ever comprehend.

If God was not good, and if He didn't love or care about us, then He would not have sent His only Son whom He dearly loved to Earth to take your place on the cross and experience God's wrath against sin so that you don't have to if you believe in Jesus and ask Him to forgive you. He would have judged the world already and we'd both be justly in hell right now. Rather, He did all the work that was needed so that we could be saved and He is waiting patiently for people to come to repentance as He doesn't want anyone to perish.

Paul places it beautifullly: "We were God's enemies, but He made us His friends through the death of His Son" (Romans 5:10). If He does not care about us, then why does He extend friendship to us? That's a thought ponder on for a while - the God of the universe wants to be your friend. I've been thinking this question for a long time and it still blows my mind in awe when I think of it.

But wait, there's more! God didn't stop here. He has, through Christ, given us His righteousness and the rights to become His children (1 John 5:1, for example). He has promised to give us the abundant life and the fruits of the Spirit which include, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, and self-control as opposed to the fruit of the flesh (or human nature), which are things such as sexual immorality, impurity, debauchery, hatred, jealousy, selfish ambition, envy, rage, among many other things. He promises to give us hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11) as well as ensuring that all things will work together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28), that He will never leave us (Matthew 28:20), among many others ... there is a long list.

Many of the other 'holy' books may talk about god's love for humanity, but they never demonstrate God's love, and particularly not in a way as done in the Bible. The Islamic god, for example, would never even consider lowering himself as to become a human being; yet the Christian God did just that. He humbled Himself to become human and then humbled Himself even further to be a servant and die on the cross. He walked the Earth as a human and knows how we feel - He knows better than anyone how it is to be rejected, hated, experience heart-ache and suffering and so on. No other god does because they haven't experienced it. It is because He experienced it and overcame it that He gives us encouragement and help to do the same.

You can tell a lot about people and God by what they do.

Thank you, Kappa. Welcome to CF. That is an awesome and well-written response. It must have taken quite a bit of time to think through and type out your responses. If you think about it, you were demonstrating God's love in sacrificing your time and talents to help out a total stranger. I think we can see God's love at work in the world today through the love His people show to others.

I would have given you reputation points if you had had them enabled. Excellent post.

Christians say their God, will soon have a battle with Satan, and I ask who is this omnipotent God that needs to battle?
God, in his mercy, has allowed sin to exist so that there is more time to draw the lost unto Himself. If he were to destroy sin right now, a lot of people will be going to hell. In his timing, though, God will destroy evil. God is omnipotent, as you said. This won't be a huge battle; it will be more of a slaughter.
They say their God gave us a Bible, a book on how to live, and I ask , why does a God require a book? surely he can tell us in a more infallible method? and still there are no ansewrs,
God does not require the Bible. We require the Bible. God has given us many evidences of himself through nature, but we have ignored it.
  • The probability of the universe, solar system, and the earth is one in 10^10^123 (Ten to the tenth power taken to the 123rd power)
  • The probability of protein molecules is one in 10^160
  • Probability of human cells: 1 in 10^119,000
  • Probability of the simplest form of life: 1 in 10^137,915
  • There is a delicate balance in the way living organisms are arranged in such a way as to keep a check and balance in the world.
  • The nature of DNA is so complex, that each human DNA strand contains enough specific information to fill 600,000 pages. Some simple amoebas have as much information in their DNA as 1000 volumes of the Encyclopedia Britannica.
  • There is an irreducible complexity of sells. Each cell consists of complex systems that will not function unless all the systems are functioning. A cell could not evolve step by sstep through successive modifications because it would be useless without all the systems functioning. (Check out Michael Behe's book, Darwin's Black Box for more info on this.
  • The human body is intricate. Check out a physiology book for more info here.
  • There is an elaborateness in nature. Even the smallest creatures exhibit complexity. Go to a garden and have a look.
Instead of attributing all of Creation to God, we simply have called it "chance." The Bible tells us exactly what we need to know about God. About the Bible being fallible, I must disagree. I have complete faith in the Bible because I have faith that my omnipotent God has kept it infallible. Also, let me tell you a little bit about the Bible and how we have it today.

Transmission of Bible documents
Old Testament:
1) Scribes were diligent keepers of Scripture. There were sopherim, meaning counters, who dveloped a device of counting all the words and letters of each book. After copying a particular book, they would count the words and letters and check this tally against the count of the manuscript that was being replicated. If the numbers did not correspond, there was an error. There were also the Masoretes (sometimes speled Massoretes). They numbered the words and letters of every book, numbered the times each letter was used in each book, calculated the middle word and letter of each book, and they calculated the middle letter of the Pentateuch and of the whole Hebrew Bible.
2) There is confirmation of ancient versions. Our present Old Testament (the Masoretic Text) is confirmed by both the Samaritan Pentateuch and the Septuagint. Both have very early documentation, and both have independent traditions from the Masoretic text. The Pentateuch remained seperate from the Hebrew text that came through the Sopherim and the Masoretes, but is incredibly similar to the Masoretic text. The great majority of the variations were mainly spelling differences, grammar alterations, and substitutions of Samaritan idioms for Hebrew.
3) There are also tens of thousands of late Hebrew manuscripts as well as the infamous Dead Sea Scrolls.
New Testament:
1) Manuscript families. When all existing manuscripts are compared, there are very few significant differences. While there are differences, "Weestcott and Hort (famous Greek scholars) estimated that only about one-eighth of all the variants had any weight, as most of them are merely mechanical matters such as spelling or style" (Norman L. Geisler, A General Introduction to the Bible: Revised and Expanded.
2) Time. The less time that exists between the extinct original work and the oldest extant manuscripts, the more reliable are the existing copies. Older copies of an original work are more accurate and less tampered with than those of a more recent date. Out of the 5000 Greek manuscripts, 250 date before the eighth century, and some even stretch back to the early second century. The codex bezae (ca. 450) is the oldest bilingual manuscript of th eNT. It contains the four Gospels and Acts. The Codex Alexandrinus (ca. 450) contains the whole OT and most of the NT (except for a few passages). The Codex Veticanus (ca. 325) is probably the oldest manuscript written on vellum and one of the most valuable documents that substantiates the integrity of the original NT (Geisler). It includes most of the OT and much of the Greek NT. The John Ryland Fragment (ca. 94-125 AD) was a small fragment found in Egypt, measuring 3.5 by 2.5 inches and is the oldest known manuscript of th NT. It contains a few verses of the Gospel of John on both sides. It shows that the codes form of the book was already in use, that the Gospel circulated to Egypt a few years after it ws written, proves John's Gospel dates to the first century, and demonstrates our modern text reads almost precisely like the first century text. (Neil R. Lightfoot, How We Got the Bible).
So to sum everything up it is a doubt on all of the above, but mainly in why I should beleive
Why should you believe? There are many answers to that.
Why do I believe? Because I'm convinced that it's true. My faith is not blind; it is based on a solid foundation.
I will be praying that you find the answers that you seek. Also, I would highly recommend reading The Case for Christ, The Case for a Creator, or The Case for Faith by Lee Strobel, who was once an atheist. Thank you for your questions.

I have doubts about the world, when I look around me I do not see the universe Christians describe, I do not see the world they talk about, I ask why have faith? why should I beleive? and no answer is satisfactory,
The best answer ever given is this saying by God, "...but my righteous one shall live by faith. And if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him."

They say their God gave us a Bible, a book on how to live, and I ask , why does a God require a book? surely he can tell us in a more infallible method? and still there are no ansewrs,
If you do not accept that the Holy Scriptures are from God, then you will not accept that they say when talking about Jesus,"...He is the radiance of His glory, and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power." Prior to the Incarnation of the Son of God, the people did have a book, but they perverted it's teachings. The Son of God is the infallible proof!!!

So to sum everything up it is a doubt on all of the above, but mainly in why I should beleive

" I am the door of the sheep. No man cometh to the Father but by me."

But then, if you do not believe and accept that the Scriptures are the Word of God, or that Jesus is His Son, this post is a waste of time!

Christians say their God, will soon have a battle with Satan, and I ask who is this omnipotent God that needs to battle?
I think it would be more correct to say that we are all in a battle right now against the forces of Satan.
As with all spiritual entities, it would be incorrect to antropomorphize him into a corporal being.
Rather, Satanic presence is to be found in the weaknesses, the doubts, and in the worries we all share. He is to be found in our jealousies, and resentments and our delusions of grandeur too.
More than just an internal state though, the forces of evil are of a much grander scale too. The whole being more than the sum of its parts, Satanic forces are not just in our inner deficiencies, but collectively Satan becomes expressed in our social institutions too.

Evil towers over us.
Poised on the brink of nuclear, or biological , or even environmental catastrophe and annihilation as we all are, one need not be a Christian to take note of how evil is threatening to devour us. Even more today than always before, our lives are hanging on a thread.

So, why faith?

Faith in the ultimate goodness of our lives, and in the idea that good will ultimately triumph over evil,- trusting that this is so in spite of the lack of any overwhelming proof-, is in fact the most rational response to a condition such as our own.
Becoming grounded in the belief that there is indeed a God, who is defined by his goodness , and by his love for us, is the only sufficient grounds for carrying on against such an enemy.

They say their God gave us a Bible, a book on how to live, and I ask , why does a God require a book? surely he can tell us in a more infallible method? and still there are no ansewrs,
The Bible contains the wisdom of the ages, and the timeless lessons of a peoples struggling with the same indeterminacies that we all are struggling with even to this day.
Communing with a network of believers, the Bible becomes a gift to us that enables us to reclaim our faith in love being stronger than indifference, and in evil being just no match for the good that will ultimately triumph.

...So to sum everything up it is a doubt on all of the above, but mainly in why I should believe

You should believe because it is the rational thing to do. Faith in God is the sufficent antidote against the indifference and alienation that plagues our modern society. It gives us the necessary encouragement and strength to go into battle against our own weaknesses and the temptations towards succumbing to the transient fruits of an evil, self-absorbed lifestyle.
Only with faith in the goodness of the universe's Creator are we endowed with the sense of absolute purpose that enables us to go forth and carry out His good works.

For if not for such a faith, where is there purpose in carrying on, once life's transient pleasures become increasingly elusive and with the advancement of age, and the jadeness that comes when pleasure is our main reason?
