Satan is "sane?"

"Sane" to think he can replace God and do even a better job?

That is why the criminally insane do face a death penalty .....

Satan's issue is not that he wants to be God.
Satan's issue is that he doesn't want the human race to be elevated above the angels in Christ.

And, that's sane to think he can stop it? He is delusional to put it mildly.

grace and truth....

Those are your words, not the words of Scripture.
He wanted to replace God!

You said in your heart,
“I will ascend to the heavens;
I will raise my throne
above the stars of God;
I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly,
on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon.
I will ascend above the tops of the clouds;
I will make myself like the Most High.”
Isa 14:13-14

Satan wanted his throne to be in the place of the Lord's throne.

grace ande peace!

His aim is to damage it, by preventing that all shall receive it.

The importance of the the crucifix is related to the fact that Jesus was not crucified, buried and resurrected so that we have a happy song to sing on Sunday morning like icing on the cake of our happy lives. He continues to be in solidarity with us in our deepest darkest moments.

The importance of the the crucifix is related to the fact that Jesus was not crucified, buried and resurrected so that we have a happy song to sing on Sunday morning like icing on the cake of our happy lives. He continues to be in solidarity with us in our deepest darkest moments.

As Pastor preached this morning, John the Baptist's words "Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world" means we have a Savior who is lamb, who knows and hears and truly gets us in all our sufferings. We read elsewhere "Jesus wept", He is acquainted with sorrows, knows our sorrows, and knows our grief--He is our Advocate, He is our Suffering Lord who knows us.

"You have kept count of my wanderings,
put my tears in Your bottle.
Are they not in Your book?
" - Psalms 56:8

We have a Lord who knows and has counted every one of our tears, every struggle, every grief, every mourning, every worry and every woe. He knows them, He holds them close to Himself; for He is the Man of Many Sorrows, well acquainted with grief. Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.

Agnus Dei, qui tolis peccata mundi, miserere nobis. Agnus Dei, qui tolis peccata mundi, dona nobis pacem.
Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us. Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, grant us peace.

Amen.
