If God said 'firmament', and someone tries to tell me that it means 'solid dome' in Hebrew, Chinese, Latin, or even another translation of English, I will not believe them.

The point is that God didn't say firmament the KJV translators translated Raqiya` into firmament. I hate to break it to you but the King James is not the original version of this document (in fact for some folks it is a pretty bad version).

Let me simplify this:

I'm not going to let someone try and convince me that the Scriptures - as conveyed in the King James Bible - is any different than what God actually said the day He said it.
You go, AV. Don't let silly things like etymology and language get in the way of your interpretations.

Especially when they try to use another language (called 'tongues' in the Bible).
Now you're catching on. The etymology of the English word "language" is the latin lingua, meaning "tongue."

You really should study these things. But I guess standing firm on the KJV is much easier.
If God said 'firmament', and someone tries to tell me that it means 'solid dome' in Hebrew
Are you claiming God spoke to Moses in (barely past Middle) English?
