Do you expect God to reveal himself so that everyone KNOWS he exists? Why would I even bother going through the motions if I adamantly believed I was just talking myself?
Let's look at it from his perspective. Why would he want to reveal himself so obviously that nobody could not believe? If everyone KNEW beyond a shadow of a doubt that God was there, then there wouldn't be any true love or good acts among people. By not knowing for absolute sure that God exists, all of our good deeds have better grounding because it shows we are doing them out of actual love, not that he is truly watching. He has given hints to his existence, and has told us how he wants us to live. He can sit back and see which of us truly want to learn to follow him, truly want to do good things out of love.
Just a possibility to consider.
