It seems quite clear in this scripture that your god creates people with disabilities on purpose. I’m curious that if your god is real, why does he inflict so many people with disabilities? and how is this fair, just and equal?
If our God were not real and another was, then would you ask the same question?

Each one of us is born with something that humbles us. You might not notice it in others, but there's nearsightedness and diabetes and allergies and lupus and asthma and psoriasis ... it goes on and on and on.

And there are people prone to schizophrenia and depression and fibromyalgia, who seemed perfect one day and then shifted gears or collapsed. We need to take care of each other.

Heron touched on something here. It's in our nature to need society (other humans) to help us in our earthly and spiritual journey. God wills that we receive what we need from others. In the creation of physical disabilities, for example, we're forced to receive help from others, which is what God wills. Of course, God steps in with his grace to give those "assigned" to help with these physical disabilities the desire and the physical and mental strength to do so.

(God obviously willed it, since he gave Adam a desire for someone just like him, and gave him one.....)

If there weren't differences in age, physical disabilities, and intellectual and moral aptitudes, why should the earth be populated? If these didn't exist, everyone could be isolated, needing nothing from no one, including God himself. What purpose would creation serve? Why would God then give the command to be fruitful and multiply?

i believe god creates people like we see them so that he can show his power, through them as they are as as he intends to change them. Remember Jesus' teaching about the person born that way from birth... he was aske, is it cause his parents sinned, Jesus said, no it was just so god could reveal his power.

that aside, god can and does use anybody regardless of either mental or physical limitation. And the reason he can do so is that he is God.

Now as to the question of it being fair or not, is actually a non start - as i understand it we all have genetic mistakes (since the fall) just some are more obvious than others.

God is the potter and can do as he pleases.

Yikes, kinda stamps out God's benevolence and love. Makes one wonder what God's intentions for creating such genetic diseases like Tay Sachs, or Harlequin Ichthyosis or Severe mental retardation, and why those babies should suffer that fate.

Fall of man....God is not to blame.

Okay you believe that ALL diseases were caused by two individuals and thus MANY people must suffer because of it? Where did God promise this fate at? God said that Adam and Eve would die, not that generations upon generations that had absolutely NOTHING to do with 'The Fall' suffer immeasurable pain from these diseases. Why on earth would God punish the innocent-in the sense they had no involvement in that situation, and punish them with devastating things. That's like a Judge sentencing the family and friends (Who had nothing to do with the killing) of a serial murderer to jail for life or the death penalty. Where is the justice in that?
This just really boggles my mind.

Exodus 4:11 And the Lord said to him, Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes the dumb, or the deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? Is it not I, the Lord?

\To display His glory. In this case to display his glory through Aaron as his prophet despite his ineloquence.

Aside from you butchering that verse in context. But when you say 'your' God...it is glorifying in that context. Yes, my God creates a soul in this world with the chance for eternal life through his Son. Yes, my God delivers me daily, for a person with a physical disability is far better off with Jesus than the greatest athlete with no faith and no Jesus. Yes, my God gives the earth in inheritance to the meek. Yes, my God makes the unfortunate fortunate, the lame beautiful and the disabled more able than those of no faith. Yes, my God is powerful. All his creations are able for eternal life.

first let me say that I have only read half of the responses here as I have an exceptionally bad headacke but I would just pose a thought to ponder.....

if you never new the color black could you appreciate white? if you never knew anguish could you appreciate joy, and to what extent?

to everything on earth there is an equal and balanced opposite and we cannot appreciate the greatness of all things until we have been faced with that which may seem not so great at all.

I have learned to live with my disabilities, I have learned to use them to aid me in furthering God's testimony as He has aided me in my life and through my pains and yes I still have good and bad days, had a real bad day yesterday, but I am still here today, not the best day yet but better, one day ata a time, besides if I did not have something to slow me down and to ahve to face God for, I may just race right through this life and proclaim MYSELF the ultimate winner and Ruler of the world.

yes My disability humbles me and leads me to seek HIM above all else because HE is my strength and my courage.
