Have you not read in Acts that when God makes something polluted clean, it is then clean?

This is what most restaurants serve up these days & I find it abominable & cruel the way they cook lobster

The dietary code was so people wouldn't get diseases from eating things that didn't preserve well .. with their level of technology .. or lack thereof.

The Bible does say why God commanded against elevating unclean animals. There are night and day differences between how healthy it is to eat clean or unclean animals and there are countless diseases and parasites that have been transferred to humans through eating unclean animals, so perhaps that has something to do with it. There are time lapse videos on YouTube that show oysters filtering out a mucky tank and if someone wouldn’t want to drink that water, then why would they want to eat the oysters after they had removed all of that gunk from the water? God also associated refraining from eating unclean animals as being holy as He is holy (1 Peter 1:16, Leviticus 11:44-45), so there is much more to it than that.

Whether or not it was to test the chosen people or set them aside from others, these things, like condors, pigs, ravens, etc are scavengers and created to eat toxic waste, unclean things. We are what we eat, so one might consider we are now chemical and genetically modified beings made of mostly the by products of sugar consumption and we might want to consider the shell fish mentioned also makes us toxic and prone to its effects, even if smothered in butter, just like eating the traditional Thanksgiving vulture. Of course the health and food industry cares not about health but about profit. No wealth in promoting living and eating healthily.
