God gives Faith
Well that sounds all well and good, but how do you explain Jesus telling his disciples if they just had faith the size of a mustard seed... etc... God didn't give them faith?
It sounds great to say God gives it.... but I don't see how it has any meaning.

It has meaning in that we do not set about creating our own faith, but that we receive the Faith of Jesus, the risen Lord!

We receive His Faith by the faith that God gave us initially to come to Him..
We give to God with measure, and He gives back without measure!

Neither of those verses has anything to do with getting or giving faith.
Mark is about hearing the word, and Luke is about being generous.

Mark 4:23-25 is relevant..
In Light of these Scripture, as pertains to Mark 4:23-25; God is the giver of ears that hear

And, in Light of the parable of the talents, speaking of Faith given by God, and the increase of which..

It's totally relevant

I'm christian yet I have never rejected scientific studies or works, I am a full supporter of science and its progress.

The Bible does not have to conflict with science as you make out, it can be easily balanced, many scientists on both sides of the fence will argue points but will never come to a conclusion.

Some people who put the Bible ahead of science are not exactly rejecting it. They are simply saying they trust the word of God first before they trust the word of man, this has no harm aslong as science is not prevented from evolving and working on its required use, to make our lives better and give humans healthier lives.

I myself put science and my faith in the lord as a balance, they never go against each other, one is a great bieng who gives me some guidance and help, the other teaches me how the world works and helps in form of my medicine.

You are reigning like a king here, and without God at that! This is your recompense, mine is in Heaven as well as on earth! Jesus can be your lot too, should you chose Him!

I just do not understand people that just assume everything they read in the Bible is actually true and should be taken more seriously then science.

"Don't believe everything you read"
A Japanese saying goes: "if you believe everything you read, you better not read"
