  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hallo

Why does God allow evil in this world and why is there evil.
Is this because this is a fallen world.
Is they Bibel versus that explain this

God Bless
"God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden. . .

Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for honor and some for dishonor (human waste)?
What if God, choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath--prepared for destruction? What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy. . ." (Romans 9:18-23)

Evil serves God's purposes.

Yes, there are Bible verses that explain why this present world is in such a fallen condition. But if you listen to men's organizational religious systems instead of God in His Word by The Holy Spirit, then you will never understand those Scriptures. In many ways, men's traditions counter that deeper understanding. Just the fact that you are wondering about it may be a sign from our Heavenly Father and His Son that you are supposed to know.

A Summary (but you'll have to study to find where this is written):

1. the devil sinned in the beginning. That happened in the old world, a world prior to Adam and Eve when Satan was actually perfect in following God, no sin, no death, a perfect creation. Satan was a covering cherub created to guard God's throne. Satan coveted that throne, wanting to be God. Thus the very first sin was not by Adam and Eve, but by Satan.

2. God ended that old world of Satan's rebellion with the waters of a flood (not Noah's day, but even before Adam and Eve). God then created this present world in a state of bondage to corruption. He gave Satan the power of death. God then planned out this present world and to offer His Son as the Perfect Sacrifice for those who would believe on The Father and The Son. God pre-ordained His elect to carry The Gospel to the peoples. God also allowed Satan to work with his followers against His Plan of Salvation, to serve as a tempter upon the rebellious and those who won't listen to God.

3. For this present world condition, it is in bondage because of Satan's rebellion of old. Although God destroyed the old world when Satan rebelled, God said He would not make a full end, thus today's creation condition is in bondage to corruption, i.e., imperfection. For this present world, everything decays and eventually dies. There is no salvation by this present world, but only in the world to come when Jesus returns.

4. The future world to come, particularly the new heavens and a new earth, will be about a type of return to God's original Perfect creation before Satan rebelled, but better. This is why the end of Revelation reveals that future world of no more death, no more sea, no feeling of hot or cold, no sin, no more hell, no more Satan and the wicked, and God's place on earth being established forever with His faithful.

5. God showed that He is 'using' Satan as a whipping rod upon the wicked and rebellious who deny Him. Satan has no power of his own, only what God allows him in order to deceive and tempt people's faith and beliefs. When Lord Jesus returns, Satan will be locked in his pit prison for the first 1,000 years of Christ's future reign, and then loosed one final time to go tempt the unsaved nations on earth, once The Gospel and The Christ has been revealed to all beyond any doubt to them. It will be a final pruning of those who refuse The Father and His Son.

Your answer is tainted with Adamic self-importance, self-centeredness. One of the first things immediately evident in Theodicy is the strangeness of the fact that we should find a need to vindicate God. That we do, is evidence of the fact that we have a faulty view of things.

We have plenty of logical reasons, even apart from Scripture, to believe that God is both good and omnipotent. Freewill is not one of them. The answer(s) is(are) found in the fact that God is the center, both original cause and continued actor, of this whole 'story', and that he has (and is) done(doing) this for his own sake. We fall short in our comprehension of both 'omnipotence' and 'good', not to mention that we are lacking in our esteem of God.

Like perhaps everything else we see and feel in this temporal existence, a full understanding of the real thing awaits us in Heaven. We presently think we understand 'suffering', but we have no idea what God has undertaken and suffered for his own sake, and so for ours. It is immense on a scale with the immensity of God himself.
I come from a revelation of God as a young men when I repented over days and was forgiven. My mind was quite empty, I did not know of the mystics, and chose to continue to use positive thinking and to live in the here and now and to be rational. But I had an experience of being forgiven and having a clear conscience. I was very happy. It was not rational although very positive.

I still want to communicate with rational people so I take that into account in my posts often.

Hebrew wisdom is better than Greek logic. Logic and rationality are popular and people like CS Lewis delved into that for them. In WW2 there were many who needed that. For, "why did I have to lose my sister, father and brother?"... It is fair to share with the logical. Don't you think it is?

As babes we are in God's hands destined for eternal life. But things happen as we grow, and experience challenges, to logic, reason, emotion, love, hate... Pharaoh in Moses time got lost, and when God's Spirit came to his heart, he opted to harden at some point. So also WW2 Nazis lost their way, and nicer young men in Britain under duress lost their way. Satan is a deceiver, and beyond brilliant. He gets us to blame God, for what he does. From an NDE report for an unlucky division, Satan is laughing at them in the end.

When I was a young forgiven man, to me, despite my sin and experience of nearly dying, God was acritical. Despite knowing of Hell... but I discovered others, sometimes rational, found fault with God, and came to like the new age, re-incarnation instead of judgment and they found God too strict, on sex sin... or to lenient on sinners. So I think in, see their view and work my way back to an experience of Jesus.
