  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I write because I am a writer. I write because I have friends waiting to read my stories. I write because I just plain love it. I write because I get first claim on all cute guys I write about.

But most of all, I write because I'm a dreamer. I don't have a real life beloved (I'm still waiting for Prince Charming), but I do have Kayhin. I probably won't ever really get dragged into a crazy carriage-chase with a group of traveling performers. In fiction, I can. I think...that's why I write.

"I write for the same reason I breathe. If I didn't, I would die."

I first started writing when I was a kid because I was so full of adventure that the real world didn't satisfy me. To me it looked so plain, boring, and ordinary. So, I started to create my own worlds. In the process I began to discover how much it enlightened me, and as I grew older, I began to look on it as life.

Now I write for God and because it's my purpose. I'm hoping that my years and hours of constant writing will eventually bring people closer to God--whether it's new children of God or children of God simply trying to find their way.

Not a day goes by when I do not write. When I'm not able to write (sitting at work, at the store, out with people, etc.), I'm thinking about writing. I'm creating characters, ideas, plots, and scenes in my head. The moments I love is when a grand idea just suddenly plops itself into my mind, making it all come together. I live for those moments. It's home. :D

I used to write but it slowed me down too much. Now my imagination isn't slowed and a single story can encompass dozens of characters and span centuries and even galaxies. I've imagined epics that would require ten books to do justice to. But that would be work. Its only enjoyable when you discover the surprises your mind has in store for you for the first time.

I prefer to write them down--if I keep my stories to myself I can never share them

I love writing but because of how long it takes me I find myself just mentally remembering them and telling them to people who can't get away. (I pity the person who sits next to me on a bus) After having many people leave a quarter way through my epic I have since tried to harness my imagination to paper, or more literally my laptop.

You make a good point. When you put something down on paper, the moment it leaves your mind it is static and solid. This has both good and bad qualities. One of the major bad ones is that there are limits. A beginning, a middle and an end. It's no free-floating and ever-changing. One of the major good ones is that there are limits. A beginning, a middle and an end. It's not longer free-floating and ever-changing.

I write because I must, I write becasue its the one thing I am very good at. I write for me, and my younger sister. It has become very much of a bonding experince for us, I write a short story, or even a few chapters in my newest story, and she reads them. I write becasue its my second love, the first one is my faith.
