Why do you dance? I've always thought this was an interesting question and one that makes you stop and think. I've always loved to dance for as long as I can remember( and that's pretty long. lol) Have you ever watched a child dance? As soon as they hear music they begin to dance about with such a free spirit of joy & happiness. Oh, what a blessing to see.
When I dance it fills me with joy. It touches my soul like nothing else.
Does anyone else feel this way?
God bless!

When I dance for god, it is purely for god. I am in the throne room and it is so special.

dancing is really good for relieving any pain that you may feel. but hey that is my thinking. dancing helps clear your mind from stuff. i try my best not to do the Chicken Noodle Soup dance. i dont know if there is anything wrong with it either. so, nazneen and everyone else who reads this post, tell me what you think.

dancing is part of my soul. to stop taking classes and dancing would hurt me so much. when i hear a worship song that touches me, i start to dance. singing and dancing are the easiest forms of worship for me.

I know that what I am about to say is probably pretty strong; but, this is my deep personal conviction about my call to the ministry of dance.
Some of you may not feel as strongly as I do. But, please don't take this post as some kind of value statement or judgement on your own personal ministry. Remember, I said that this is the reason why I dance.

I dance to forefill the "Great Commission"
Jesus said to His disciples in Mathew 10:7
"Go and announce to them that the Kingdom of Heaven is near. 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!"

Dance is the way I have answered the call to Evangelism.

Blessings!

I dance because a part of me would die if I did not express it. There are certain sentiments that cannot be expressed through mere words...that's when the art of movement steps in and in turn, moves others.

Oh, and yeah I love music, too so....that helps. ;)

Dancing is a way to express how you feel, in my opinion. You can do all different types of dancing to express different emotions. It just feels good to listen to music and let the beat run though your body. You get carried along with the music and can't stop. You feel light, relaxed and free and happy. It feels amazing when you really get into a dance!

It calms me, makes me happy, relieves stress, lets me express my feelings.. Best of all, I can have the world sitting on my shoulders then start dancing, and it's like everything disappears. I totally forget about everything that was previously on my mind and just.. dance.

Why do you dance?:)

To creatively put together various fun or complex steps musically (some call it musicality) to different pieces of music. The more steps one knows the more puzzle pieces are available. The better the technique the better the brush and canvas. Seeing one do a step with their own style is like seeing yet another new unique snowflake whereas an entire dance is a blizzard that can sweep you away if you let it.

There's also something nice about having a beautiful woman in your arms and protecting her as you fly across the floor. It's a constant rush of surprises handled with teamwork and trust that is not only good exercise for the body, but the mind.
