  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

First...if I do not have my kids with me...I'm smiling because something made me think of them. Or...I'm smiling because something about your interactions reminds me of my relationship. OR....because I think there is something endearing about how you are with your children. It's a heartstring thing....like when I get misty eyed seeing older couples hold hands. I'm not close to my dad and my husband is a good man but sort of a "cat's in the cradle" dad....so I love seeing men interact with their kids...makes me squishy inside.

I have to agree with the other ladies. My son is now 22 and in college and when I see "little boys" sometimes it reminds me of his much younger years. We had a lot of fun with him, we're still very close to him, and it's a warm and fuzzy thing to see a dad having a nice time with his sons. For what it's worth, it hits me as nice with daughters too, even though I don't have one.

Next time, smile back! :)

I agree with the others. I love seeing a dad taking his kids out and doing stuff with them. there are so many dads in this world that don't take the time to spend with their kids. so of course im going to smile and maybe even say something about how cute your kid is or something.
