Why do the "end times" need to come soon?

In a time where there is all this stuff happening on this earth, why is it necessary that God has it "end" instead of being purified. Meaning that God's own people are spared by whatever the suffering of the consequences of these bad deeds are (like a mass crisis, EMP burst, nuclear war, etc.) It's also unfair because I'm 28 and want to live my life. But no, if the end times happen that means I cannot do things like get a girlfriend/married or have a family after that, and other things.

Another thing is this. If God considers something like abortion to be a severe abomination, why did God allow abortion activists to mock and even harass anti-abortion people ad-infinitum without consequence until the end? And why should they just be merciful and not fight back and have dignity? Why must it be held until the "end"? An analogy may be like you really want to go to a concert or special event that's being held to you, but only being finally "allowed" to see it when the concert or event has already ended anyway?

God owns the circus, God created it all and will decide when it all ends. These kind of decisions are His alone to decide.

God is acting in your best interests anyway, regardless of how you see things. You can be guaranteed that you will love the outcome; if He shuts down the circus earlier than you want.

I guess I'll meditate on that.
I want to talk to you about something too, but I'd rather have you DM me.

If you read ahead, technically the earth will be 'purified'--just not in the sense you're thinking, perhaps. Eventually, the world will be remade without sin as it should have been; heaven is not the end of the road for Christians. I was once worried about the end of the world, then I learned about preterism and that most of revelations probably already happened. That, and while Jesus said we will not be given in marriage in heaven, I see no reason to think this will still be the case in the 'new earth'; so granted, everything I like will still be around, just without the sin attached.

And to be fair, most of revelations does make clear that God will protect his people during the tribulations.

God, I think, does not actively punish people in the same way he did back then because it would severely impede our free will. However, consequences will be given in the afterlife--and I'm sure many Christians will have to answer for previous wrongdoings at the coming judgement.

There's the hitch...it is not your life. He gives life and He withholds life. We are stewards of what He gives.

Who says family won't be in the new world He creates?

Living in a world without sin ..... try to even grasp that (all the abominable things you listed and more --- non-existent)

Sin in the world is what causes abominable things ... not God .... and when He returns He's going to end sin for eternity. AMEN!!!!

Gods people do suffer and will go through the great tribulation to come. He goes through our tribulations with us now ... and will go through the end times ones with us as well.

Psalm 23

The LORD is my shepherd;
I shall not want.2He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters.3He restores my soul;
He guides me in the paths of righteousness
for the sake of His name.4Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil,
for You are with me;

Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.5You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.6Surely goodness and mercy will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.

I'm 28 and want to live my life.

So live it .... and live it while walking with the Lord and receive eternal life.

Why do all these things continue? Because He's patient and long-suffering not willing that anyone perish and not receive eternal life. He's waiting for all of mankind to make their choices .... walk with Him ... or not ... eternity with Him .... or not.

2nd Peter 3

Berean Study Bible
The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise as some understand slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance.

May you and others choose Him today and look forward to living in a world without sin. AMEN!

In heaven God will give you a chance to do all these things. IF End Times were to come this year 2020. God would give you lots of time to experience your dreams such as, girlfriend, a good job. Family.
There are many realms in Heaven in which God allows us to have our deepest desires come true!
Stay Faithful :)

Yeah, but everyone knows that Jesus said "there would be no marriage" so a lot of people are convinced it appears there will be none of that. It's one of the things that trips me up and made me struggle for a long time.

There is marriage in Heaven. You remember how the pharisees asked Jesus why did Moses command that a Man could write a certificate to his wife and send her away in divorce. Well it's the same with this passage. We know Jesus said to the Pharisees that "you are badly mistaken, because in Heaven there will be neither marriage nor giving in marriage. But Jesus said this because he needed to make a point to the cold hearted Pharisees. In Heaven there are SO many realms. If on this old earth you were so desiring a good relationship with a man/woman and it never really worked out the way you wanted, (including love making) God will fulfill this. I know this is true. Love making with someone whom you were made to be with is not sinful and it will be allowed in Heaven.

In Heaven, lots of us will have Soul mates.

I've had everyone else pretty much tell me they were convinced differently.

Meaning that God's own people are spared by whatever the suffering of the consequences of these bad deeds are (like a mass crisis, EMP burst, nuclear war, etc.)

I guess you're referring to what's popularly referred to as the pre-trib rapture, where all of God's people are sucked up into Heaven before anything bad happens to them. This is a popular belief but it's not based either on scriptural evidence or just practical reality.

There's two major divisions of disaster in the Revelation; 7 trumpets of Great Tribulation and 7 bowls of wrath. Tribulation is something all humans experience, including God's people. Tribulation is God's way of getting us back to reality. For example, you're happily walking down the street after you just bought some frivolous thing that you've been wanting for a long time, then suddenly there's an earthquake and you're able to save a kid from some falling rubble. You saved the kids life, but the rubble hit you in the shoulder and now your arm will never work the way same again. You feel some regret about this but the fact that you saved a life puts the situation into a manageable and meaningful context. Your suffering is bearable because it has purpose.

Those Christians who believe so ardently that they will escape all suffering do so because they see no purpose in suffering; they see only inconvenience to themselves. While all humans experience tribulation of some sort (some of us learn from it more than others) Jesus (and the Revelation) describes a time of Great Tribulation, such as the world has never seen before. Far from being some horrible scenario begging escape, this will be the time for Christians to shine. The situation will be horrible precisely because the world as a whole will turn away from goodness; what more practical role could we Christians play than to be a light shining in such darkness even if, and perhaps especially because doing so will cost us our lives? As the saying goes, if you don't have anything worth dying for, then you do not have anything worth living for.

It's also unfair because I'm 28 and want to live my life. But no, if the end times happen that means I cannot do things like get a girlfriend/married or have a family after that, and other things.

When I was 10 I threw a pretty nasty tantrum over not getting a toy I wanted. It just did not occur to me that there was more to life in that particular moment. I suppose from God's perspective we're all continuously going through such phases. 20 years from now I'll remissness back to my life at this time and wonder how I could have been so blind yet again.

Another thing is this. If God considers something like abortion to be a severe abomination, why did God allow abortion activists to mock and even harass anti-abortion people ad-infinitum without consequence until the end?

I think what God would most likely be upset with is the throw-away culture which causes people to believe that sex is a shallow, feel-good-in-the-moment process which requires no responsibility, thought, or care as to the consequence of such interactions, whether emotionally, spiritually, or physically.

That stuff about people getting angry over such things probably comes in a distant second, though to be sure bitterness and hatred are genuine problems, too.

And why should they just be merciful and not fight back and have dignity?

Your idea of dignity is people fighting outside an abortion clinic?

Why must it be held until the "end"?

Every motivation will be held accountable; some sooner than others. I guess you'd prefer God strike people dead on the spot at the moment of sin? If that were the case, you'd not be here to share your discontent.

An analogy may be like you really want to go to a concert or special event that's being held to you, but only being finally "allowed" to see it when the concert or event has already ended anyway?

No. You're participating in the concert right now. A more accurate analogy, regarding your comments, is that you're at the concert, but you've got earphones on playing your own music while complaining to others around you that the band isn't better than you had expected.

I also am bothered, why can't God's will or plan compromise with man's will sometimes. If it's God's will to allow the current society here to get more intensely worse to the point of global hell-on-earth and crisis, yet some of us don't want that and will be terrified by that, but God is letting the dark forces have their way right now anyway. The whole system is unfair. Why can't that be understandable to some people?
