Why do "singles" have the better threads, lol

just saw a "do you like cheese" thread but couldn't respond since it's a singles thread

anyway, "I love cheese"

especially in grilled cheese sandwiches

like sharp cheddar, colby-jack, baby swiss, swiss, parmesan

anyone else?

Singles have better threads because they have more money to spend on themselves, so they shop at all of the upper class clothing stores, where Married couples have to shop at Walmart

Because they're (mostly) not busy being parents, and have more free time to participate in fun threads, maybe? (Hey, it's a theory).

As for cheese, yes. Except blue, which I've never learned to like.

What draws you to the thread is that as a married person it is forbidden fruit. :)

I miss the singles thread, for many reasons. I made a lot of genuine friends there, some I met in person and still talk to outside of here. Plus, I was happier...Sorry having a rough night...I love cheese!

Miserable night at my place too. Husband got laid off today due to virus. Unemployed as of now and not happy. I lost half my hours 6 weeks ago. So down to half of one income with no easy fix in sight. Ain't life grand some days! Xx

I miss the singles section, sometimes. It was one of my first sections I hung out in, when I joined here. But, I wouldn't trade being married to hang out in the singles threads. ;)

I love cheese. I think my favorites are ricotta and mozzarella.

I think part of it is the way this forum was set up (I remember when there were no restrictions on who could post where; married people, engaged people, courting people, and single people could all hang out in each others' forums and it was a vastly more fun and enjoyable atmosphere). I've not seen much in the way of positive feedback since the Great Divide, lol.

"Married Couples" suggests that this forum is full of just that; married couples. Not married people. The individuality of each person is sort of blurred. I don't think most of the people here also have their spouse posting actively, or even ON the site at all, so the title of the forum is misleading and inaccurate. It also suggests that the only topics talked about here are "married couple stuff", like this is some kind of small group for married couples, instead of being just another forum of individual people who happen to be married.

I would love to see this forum liven up a bit as well. There's no reason that we can't post about cheese, too :D

threads in singles where I'd like to add my 2 cents
not much activity in married couples

married folks boring?

reminds me of commercials- once you get a house, you start turning into your parents, lol

no......

Same. It's frustrating. But saying so can get our posts/threads deleted :(

It's not about being more boring, we're still the same people we were before we got married. I think it's a mixture of things. A few other posts mentioned that single people have a lot more free time on their hands to just "hang out" online, and that's very true.
