  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

It's not latin. It's Greek and is part of the Nicene Creed which everyone here theoretically subscribes to.

I believe in One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.

Yes, it's like these changes:

Presbyter meant elder, now it means priest.

Eucharist meant thanksgiving, now it means sacrifice.

OT canon meant the Hebrew canon, now it includes other works.

Catholic meant of the whole, now it means Roman.

Yes, as Paul points out its showing our immaturity (walking yet carnal) in that respect. Saying we are of someone (particular) using them (even Christ himself) in order to divide from one another.

At least the indulgences will not have to be paid out with the denari :)

Back to Indulgences

John 11:48 "If-ever we may be be letting Him thus, all shall be believing in Him.
And shall be coming the Romans and they shall be taking away of Us and the Place and the Nation
[Reve 6:6/14:8]

Revelation 6:6 And I hear a voice in midst of the four living-ones saying: "choinex of grain/wheat a denari and three choinex of barleys a denari, and the oil and the wine no you should be injuring".
[John 11:48]

1220. denarion day-nar'-ee-on of Latin origin; a denarius (or ten asses):--pence, penny(-worth).
AV - penny 9, pence 5, pennyworth 2; 16 denarius = "containing ten"
1) A Roman silver coin in NT time. It took its name from it being equal to ten "asses", a number after 217 B.C. increased to sixteen (about 3.898 grams or .1375 oz.).
It was the principal silver coin of the Roman empire. From the parable of the labourers in the vineyard, it would seem that a denarius was then the ordinary pay for a day's wages. (Mt. 20:2-13)

Yes but you DoNT post them :)
We all have that Rham.
Those are attacks from the enemy.
He attaks us in our minds... trys to get us to 'think' this or that.
That's why we transform ourselves with the renewing of our
minds meditating on the Word. That way we can have a good
]answer just like Jesus did.

also, a lot of my unkindness is subtle, read the thread about denominations, you might have to squint but i am very unkind to people who are in denominations
You're feeling hateful right now
that's NOT you though Rham.
Just stay connected to the source and that will, (POOF), vanish

Sigh. Read my response just above to Fireinfolding, post #146.

Hope that helps.

PS brother Secundulus.
It doesn't work to say you are of something when you remain separate and put your own judgement above that thing.

It is contradictory to say you are of something when you deny the very sacrament which unites that thing.

That thing is the Apostolic Body of Christ left by Christ to tend the faithful when he left for a time. The symbol that unites it is the Eucharist.

And yes, that is not only in scripture, it is the universal witness of the early Church.

This is otherwise known as the Universal Church.
