The problem is video CLEARLY shows beyond any doubt that she hit him with the car as she was accelerating. I haven't seen anything that shows all angles and has all the videos available to be able to show everything from start to finish. Maybe one of these days we will.

I'm still not saying he should have shot her, BUT after watching her hit him and accelerating I'm not fully convinced yet of anything. I said if ehat people were saying was true then I think he should be investigated for homicide. However now that I've watched him actually get hit, things are more muddy.

However, if he is standing in front of rye vehicle and officers are yelling at her to drive away, then there is responsibility to be born by LE for some of this as well.

As I keep saying. I don't think this would have happened at all had people not created such a chaotic situation by interferring, obstructing harassing etc the agents and just let them do their jobs. People THINK they are doing something special by teying to block the agents etc. They are being stupid and foolish.

Well its not the right doing it. Yeah, I dont think the Ranchers were right either. They were wrong too and they were lucky they weren't shot when pointing a gun at LE. The entire atmosphere was a bit different and a lot less chaos.

Plenty of the people who are defending this were fine when it was the ones on their side. I don't care. My sole point is that the government has ratcheted up the rhetoric, the defense without awaiting evidence, and the brutality of their enforcement. Doing so was always going to lead to more violence and that is what they want. If they did not want it they would be deescalating instead of escalating at every turn. Defend that if you wish.

There is one angle that does look a bit like he might have been hit (the one from above and to the right). However it is absolutely not "clear" - the agent is a grainy smudge that you see move backwards away from the car as it pulls forward and to the right. The view from behind shows that - at most - he pushed off the fender of the car as he shot. He was still stable enough to fire two more shots through the driver's side window after the apparent "impact", and he was fully capable of walking to the car and back to the waiting agents after it crashed without any sign of pain or discomfort

I don't think there is any video that shows the entire altercation start to finish unless we get the video from the agent who shot her (because he was filming the whole time) and/or anyone was wearing a body camera. However, the BBC and NY Times both put out synced and slowed-down versions of the three angles that have been spread on social media. If you don't trust them, find a source that lets you watch the original clips slowed down. Or heck, watch the clip linked above.

Yes, she's still in the process of turning from opposite left lock (because she was reversing and trying to go right) to opposite right lock as she hits the accelerator. As her tires spin, you can watch, in the very clip you posted, her tires continue turning to the right. That would not happen if she was trying to hit the guy on the left corner of her bumper. They do not "jerk" - they continue turning smoothly. You can also watch him clearly not get hit in that clip because he remains stable enough on the icy road to fire two more shots into the driver's side window despite holding his phone in one hand and his gun in the other.

At no time is she intentionally moving toward the officer. He also was able to move out of the way as she was turning but instead opted to shoot her through the front and side windows. Ms. Babbitt had a clear view of the weapon pointed at her before she made the move that triggered her death. Ms. Good did not.

If a cop stopped someone for drunk driving and arrested the person and a crowd of people surrounded them and tried to prevent the arrest, blockaded them in, stood in front of tye police car, harassed the cops etc, and something bad happened then the prople need to take some responsibility for creating such a wild and crazy charged atmosphere.

That doesn't NOT excuse an officer shooting someone they shouldn't. They should be held accountable for their actions. But for heaven's sake, lets recognize the insanity that the citizens are engaged in that is exacerbating the issues.

If only ICE was just going after the drug dealers, the rapists, the worst of the worst, as we were told - then I highly doubt we'd be seeing this pushback. But instead they are going after normal people who are just here to live and work. People who have been here for maybe 20 years, doing the jobs I am glad someone else besides me does, raising families, being basically: decent people. Thats where the pushback comes from. Not from the takedown of the metaphorical "drunk drivers".

We can all rest easy now knowing that an SUV is a type of car, but not all of them, many SUVs are legally classified as light-duty trucks in the U.S., especially traditional body-on-frame models, due to historical regulations (CAFE standards) that treated them like pickups for fuel economy and emissions, though modern crossovers built on car platforms blur these lines, with some smaller SUVs now classified as cars. So, while some people see them as large cars or family haulers, regulatory bodies and traditional manufacturers often consider them trucks.

U.S. citizen swept up in ICE enforcement as Twin Cities operation continues

The arrest in a Robbinsdale parking lot was streamed live on Facebook and comes a day after the fatal shooting of a U.S. citizen by an ICE agent.

The man, Jose Roberto Ramirez, was born in Minneapolis, according to a copy of his birth certificate provided to the Minnesota Star Tribune by his family. Ramirez was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at a Hy-Vee at about 11 a.m.

Raelyn Duffy, his mother and a member of the Red Lake Nation, said she brought his passport and birth certificate to the Whipple Federal Building near Fort Snelling earlier Thursday but was initially turned away and unable to reach her son for several hours.

Speaking through tears earlier in the day, Duffy said agents told her son he “wasn’t from here” and did not allow him to show his ID. Ramirez’s father was born in Mexico, and Duffy was born in Minnesota.

Ramirez was released from custody around 5:45 p.m. Thursday.

In an interview with the Minnesota Star Tribune, Ramirez said ICE agents made disturbing comments while he was detained.

“They’re saying, ‘You’re gonna see your family, some of your cousins in here,’” he said. Ramirez said he asked agents to loosen his handcuffs, but they instead tightened them.
