Why do people cuss??

I dont get it.... why do people cusss? Does it make them look kol??/ does it make them popular??? Does it matter what other people say about them???? I mean come on .....Christ wouldnt do that......... But yet peiopl declare that they are Christians which means Christ- Like. it so confusing.....

Don't know why you put this in the Rec Room, but I'll answer anyway.

The reasons for cussing vary from person to person. Sometimes it's simply an exclamation of suprise or anger. Other times it's just breeded into their vernacular by movies tv and friends. Some people use the f word when they can't think of the word they want, or where some people would say 'um.'

Soon these words (which all have an actual meaning) are used non-sensically and in contexts they never belonged in the first place.

So yeah, doesn't make a whole lot of sense really.

A number of reasons. Influences, to be 'cool', it just happens, they read it somewhere, don't understand it's meaning etc. It's hard to stop once you start cussing, even if you want to.
