As we are nearing the end of the age; the end of the fourth quarter; and the bottom of the ninth inning I am disappointed by many who proclaim Christ to be in fear of His Second Coming instaed of rejoicing in it. But then Christ spoke of all the people who wouldn't make into the Kingdom and what kind of people they would be like:
  • Those who fell by the way side and were plucked up by the birds.
  • Those who fell on rocky ground and took no deep root.
  • Those who fell on thorny ground and were choked up by the weeds.
When I observe all of the confusion going on within the body of Christ I sit back and wonder to myself, "Are these people behaving this way because they are living for the world?" all reason tells us that since sin and death entered into the world through Adam and Eve: the world has been on a downard trajectory and doomed to destruction...yet many people in the Church are still laying up treasures where moth and rust destroy and thieves break in and steal as if this world will continue on as it always has been; but, the Lord wisely foresaw this and said that these last days would be like they were in the days of Noah where people would be carrying on business as usual.

Dear reader are you living for this old world which is passing away and be judged by fire due to sin? Or are you living for the new world which will last forever where evil will not exist; we will have new incorruptible bodies which will not decay or grow old; we will have mansions built for us by the Lord Yeshua Messiah; we will never get tired or hungry but be forever joyful and rest in Paradise for eternity with God? I pray that those reading this are living for the New World which is the True Promise Land for those who believe in God and His Son Yeshua Messiah.

The promise of Eternal Life in the New World is the ultimate retirement plan becuase there we won't have to work anymore, won't have to pay bills, won't have to slave away to live, there won't be anyone harrassing or harming us, and we won't even have memories of this old world as has been prophesied:

With such wonderful and good news why do people foolishly believe that Christ will not return to rule the world and judge it? Why do people believe other nonsense such as the Millenial Kingdom already having past? In short this is because they did not begin with the Word of God as their starting point. I pray the Word convict all unbelievers of the Truth that they might repent and turn to God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength.

It is like the jewish toast, " Next year in Jerusalem." a believed hope, but one that is not seen as going to happen.
We believe Jesus is coming again, many people build wonderful fantasies about the second coming, even to knowing when it will happen. but, we are also caught up with earning a living, caring for a family, dealing with a social and church life, watching tv, sport, hobies etc etc etc
Leaving little time for enjoying the anticipated return of Jesus.
Does that make us bad christians?

Depends really as to how tightly we are clinging on to this life.
How often do you think about Jesus while doing your daily work?

Your unbelief isn't my problem. As our Lord said:

"Whoever puts his hand in the plow and begins to look back isn't fit for the Kingdom of God."

"Whoever loves this world and the things in it more than Me is not worthy to be called my disciple."

"Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you."

As for me I constantly think on these things and have been shaping my life to make sure I'm prepared for His return.

If you're feeling convicted brother that's because the Word is convicting your heart. All those things you brought up are nice and enjoyable in their proper place, but the highest and first priority is the Kingdom of Christ. The material things of this world are simply tools to help further the Gospel of the Kingdom...whether our friends and family wish to follow is their choice, but we must keep our eyes set on Christ.

It also explains the prophecy in Revelation of those who are in the outer court... where sacrifices for sin are made, and they cling to the cross... They will be among the mass murdered. Lord loves them and they will be resurrected, but they are also the ones who will be unlearning and relearning His Way during the 1000-year reign. They have not become part of the priesthood who does services in the holy and from which the 144k will be chosen, they will also will not be alive and remain when He returns.
