Why Do I still Like 80's Metal?

I have been born again and have a hard time finding anything related, but want something spiritual lyrics, but want heavy guitar ripping, like George Lynch Eddie Van Halen, Yngwie Malmsteen. Can anyone help me out. Thanks

Before I answer could you confirm something for me? When you listen to metal do you listen to it for edgy lyrics, or because you like the guitar riffs, talent of drummers, ect?
If it's the latter you still like 80s metal because you appreciate good music and talented musicians.

One thing I liked about 80's metal is they weren't afraid to take an extended guitar solo. In the 90's everybody stopped playing solos. As a guitar player myself, I want to watch someone who is "better than me" play. Anyone can push a few power chords up and down the neck.
