Why do animals die since they don't sin?

After the fall, God cursed the ground in Genesis 3:

17 And to Adam He said: "Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat, cursed is the ground because of you; through toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.

God's curse affected the creation. Romans 8:

20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now.

Decay and death have been the norm since the fall, but there is good news. Jesus will return on the last day and recreate heaven and earth. Animals will be there.

Because the physical death is not caused by sin. Its caused by injuries, illnesses or accumulated damage over time (i.e. aging).

Dinosaurs lived a long life, that is why they got so big. Turtles today were alive at the time. They live 300 years and get very big.
