During the Noah's Ark episode, not only did God kill all the human beings, but all the animals that lived on land too, except for the two on the Ark. So, why was that? What did God have the animals. They had no original sin, considering that they had not eaten from the tree of Good/Evil when Yahweh told them not to, they couldn't be punished for not believing in Yahweh, simply because animals don't seem to need religion in their lives. (Have you ever heard of a penguin praying? No, the idea seems silly.) So, why did your God decide that he needed to murder all the animals as well as the humans?
I'd like to point out something here - God is no "murderer". ALL LIFE is His. He is Creator and Father of all - man and animal. When God takes life, it's for no arbitrary reason as if He's getting His kicks or throwing cosmic temper tantrums and needs anger management classes.
God takes life so seriously, that He made a death penalty in the law; life for life. So when God takes life, He takes it back unto Himself; it was His to give AND TAKE BACK rightfully.
With that said, I am a former secular liberal who was a member and heavily involved in 3 animals rights groups - as well as greenpeace for years.
Even tho I'm a converted Christian and hardcore republican today, I am still pro animal rights just like I was then.
I don't like all the deaths of animals in the OT - as I don't like deaths of animals today - whether for a noble & worthy cause or a wasted evil one. I hate ALL of it.
In that framing I submit this, I dislike it intensely but I humbly submit to God in His sovereignty as to animal death, knowing that God is operating by spiritual laws that He adheres to. I know the reasons for it in the OT. thru sacrifice - life's blood for atonement.
And it's unfortunately part of the fall - ushered in by SIN.
I blame EVIL on animal death, not God. Becuz if evil didn't enter thru US (Satan first), then there would be no necessity for the deaths in the first place.
Once you know God and His love and goodness, it's very easy to understand that He does what He must do for just cause - not arbitrary whim.
And since death came by sin, everything does have to die; it's the natural law and no one escapes it.
