Why did your God kill all the animals?

The simple fact is that God was sorry that he made them.

We've all had projects that have caused us so much grief that we just decided to start over. The Lord was so frustrated with "Project Earth" that he just decided to chuck it all and start over.

Gen. 6:7
So the LORD said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.”

This is not so hard for us to understand when we realize that we were created in God's image. So if we have feelings of frustration that move us to the point of wanting to start over on something sometimes, it is easy to assume that God experiences those same feelings. What we cannot imagine is the level of hatred that God has for evil. There is no parallel in this world for it. Oh, some things might come close, for instance, the level of contempt that we have for persons such as Adolf Hitler or Saddam Hussein. Evil is something that God cannot abide, so in the face of the great wickedness of man which existed at the time, he just decided to purge the whole earth and begin again. He did so with Noah and his family, whom he found worthy and pleasing, and a sampling of the creatures that he had created.

God made the promise never to destroy the earth again by water, but there is a time coming when he will once again purge the earth of the evil that invades it. Pray that you are found worthy to escape that purging, as Noah was, when that time comes.

Dear TheLocalSkeptic. God did not kill the animals, He send the flood to punish, and wipe out evil. I can understand you feeling sorry for the animals, but I like to believe, that God in His Mercy, made it short and painless for them. (the animals I mean) Greetings from Emmy, sister in Christ.

some people believe it was a world-wide flood, others think it wasn't more than a regional flood.

either way, how could God have killed everything?

if He did, everything would have died because everyone/all the animals would have inbred with each other, destroying everything within a hundred years to genetic disease and deformities.

if God killed everything at one point, it would have stayed gone forever.

but we're still here aren't we?

Adam's sin impacted nature [Genesis 3:17]. Indeed, the very first death caused by Adam's sin was the death of an animal [Genesis 3:21]. This ultimately led to animals fearing humans [Genesis 9:2]. Remember, there was no death before the fall. All those carnivores we have seen throughout history were all herbivorous at one time. God killed men and animals alike in the flood as a great and unmistakable statement about sin and its consequences. If we take seriously God's earnest hatred of sin, there is nothing else we can do but repent and cast ourselves on His mercy. This mercy is freely available through Jesus Christ, to all who will believe.

During the Noah's Ark episode, not only did God kill all the human beings, but all the animals that lived on land too, except for the two on the Ark. So, why was that? What did God have the animals. They had no original sin, considering that they had not eaten from the tree of Good/Evil when Yahweh told them not to, they couldn't be punished for not believing in Yahweh, simply because animals don't seem to need religion in their lives. (Have you ever heard of a penguin praying? No, the idea seems silly.) So, why did your God decide that he needed to murder all the animals as well as the humans?
I'd like to point out something here - God is no "murderer". ALL LIFE is His. He is Creator and Father of all - man and animal. When God takes life, it's for no arbitrary reason as if He's getting His kicks or throwing cosmic temper tantrums and needs anger management classes.
God takes life so seriously, that He made a death penalty in the law; life for life. So when God takes life, He takes it back unto Himself; it was His to give AND TAKE BACK rightfully.

With that said, I am a former secular liberal who was a member and heavily involved in 3 animals rights groups - as well as greenpeace for years.
Even tho I'm a converted Christian and hardcore republican today, I am still pro animal rights just like I was then.

I don't like all the deaths of animals in the OT - as I don't like deaths of animals today - whether for a noble & worthy cause or a wasted evil one. I hate ALL of it.

In that framing I submit this, I dislike it intensely but I humbly submit to God in His sovereignty as to animal death, knowing that God is operating by spiritual laws that He adheres to. I know the reasons for it in the OT. thru sacrifice - life's blood for atonement.
And it's unfortunately part of the fall - ushered in by SIN. I blame EVIL on animal death, not God. Becuz if evil didn't enter thru US (Satan first), then there would be no necessity for the deaths in the first place.

Once you know God and His love and goodness, it's very easy to understand that He does what He must do for just cause - not arbitrary whim.
And since death came by sin, everything does have to die; it's the natural law and no one escapes it.

you'd probably get many different answers, but....
first off realize that the soul is what is important, not the flesh body...all of those animals have souls...and everyone of us (and the animals) must die at some point

what we see when we really get into the scriptures(manuscripts-original languages) is that the land(area) was destroyed...and the Adamites were mixing with supernatural entities...fallen angels...there were no pure blood Adamites around except for Noah and His family (took Noah 500 years to find a wife of pure blood)

so, my contention is that God wiped them out because of what they had become.

Later in the bible, we see more giants and if we trace their names, we can see that they actually did the same thing again after the flood...they produced hybrid humans as well as hybrid animals....which needed to be destroyed for obvious reasons.

In Noah's days, God kept a pure line of all the animals (2 pairs each of unclean animals and 7 pairs of birds and clean animals(for eating/sacrificing) and the only pure bread persons around...and started over....at least in the area affected by the fallen angels and their giant children.

God's plan of Salvation was being threatened, because there had to be a pure lineage from Adam to Jesus...and the fallen angels attack this lineage all through out the bible...it is hidden to most but revealed to some with the ears to hear and the eyes to see...

there is a reason for everything...

wanna get into it further, just pm me...

bye

in His service
