  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The Elders - They fall before the throne. Things fall before God every time He speaks. Revelation 1:17, 5:8, 5:14, 7:11, 11:16, and 19:4. Most of these passages speak of the elders falling down before the Lord, although the four living creatures are mentioned also. This is just a quick word study on 'fell'; I would wager there is more on 'worship'. The elders do not lose their seats. Not after the first, second, or third time. Why would they lose the seats that God had appointed them to? Does sin enter heaven again to shake up the higharchy?

Revelation 5 is very clear why John weeps. When he weeps he does not know what the seals contain, in fact he is not weeping about them at all. His tears have nothing to do with punishment at all. This scroll obviously contained something very important. It was before the throne of God and the strong angel, mentioned several times, was not even able to open it. Christ alone is worthy.

As far as John being at the seventh trumpet, that doesn't even make since. There is no information to link the time before the seals to be broken and the seventh trumpet. The last seal brings in the trumpets. This comes only from what the text teaches.

Explain what you mean with direct citations to passages and a clear explanation. I think all ideas have merit until they can be explored and either you are seeing something that isn't there or I have very much missed some key passage.
