Who says it is a verb?
something to be grasped,
ἁρπαγμὸν (harpagmon)
Noun - Accusative Masculine Singular
Strong's 725: Spoil, an object of eager desire, a prize. From harpazo; plunder.
See He did not consider it ROBBERY to be equal with God, and follow up there. You are correct I looked at the wrong word. Nevertheless the more recent scholarship, the 25 page thesis which I quoted and linked to shows the more correct definition is "something one already possesses which can be used to their advantage." Thus "to be grasped" is incorrect.
Why? Why create yet another thread in that mass of threads you have created which no one can follow because what they posted in a couple of days ago is now completely buried.See He did not consider it ROBBERY to be equal with God, and follow up there.
I prefer to keep the question of each thread precise. Why? Why create yet another thread in that mass of threads you have created which no one can follow because what they posted in a couple of days ago is now completely buried.
See A Denomination-Free, Disciplined, Logical, and Probabilistic Approach to Biblical Hermeneutics and follow up there. But then, you probably wouldn't because you do not try to keep each thread's issue precise. What is your purpose here on CF?
But it hasn't stopped you making the Christian Scriptures forum unusable to most people.BTW, I do not insists that you do that; nor do I have the authority to.
reference? Please be precise and try not to overgeneralize in your reply. Thank you.But it hasn't stopped you making the Christian Scriptures forum unusable to most people.
I have to go 27 pages deep before I see a full listings of posts. I've pretty much stopped posting here because there is no way to keep up with the sheer number of postings he's made. But it hasn't stopped you making the Christian Scriptures forum unusable to most people.
It's hard to always write what you feel without coming across as offensive. I regret some of the things I've posted because of that. But it's all good.ya it is a testing of patience i feel. It amazes me to see some of the interactions but that just goes for being online. Sometimes people just want to say the opposite view, sometimes i do it and when i realize it i annoy myself lol
Sorry robbery" is incorrect. See link to 25 page thesis I linked to before post#42 I even quoted part of it. . The word "arpagmon" is incorrectly translated "robbery." Since you will not even look at the evidence I provided why expect me to read yours?See He did not consider it ROBBERY to be equal with God, and follow up there.
I finally googled the TLG and wow! When I was in seminary in 2006, I was still mainly working out of "Middle Liddle" at our library. Wish our librarian would have told me about TLG!!!Again I remind you this scholarship was not possible prior to the establishment of TLG database in 1972.

Thanks for sharing. Do you have some reference support for the above? Try to be precise in your reply. I would particularly value statistical data if any.most of which quickly fade into the background.
It is for me.My question was how do you know that the above is true for most people?
Are you not overgeneralizing? It is for me.
NoAre you not overgeneralizing?
