In this dispensation, yes; but not in the first dispensation, which started out with even time not existing.
AV would do well to learn this.
Adam can't be denied a past and expect to have an adult mind. The human brain doesn't work like that. He either had the one day old mind of a baby or he had a lifetime of memories and experience. It's one or the other. You can't get round it.[The lack of] time is what falsifies the idea that Adam had a past.
It is also what falsifies the idea that the earth had a history.
Spacewyrm.

It's amazing that AV actually thinks embedded age might be true. If he even does that is. I don't really think any of his beliefs are very real to him, if they were he would examine them more critically. It's all a game to him. Rather like his counting threads. His religion seems to be more of a comfort blanket that he should have grown out of but never has. Therefore arguing with him about it in the hope of changing his mind is pointless. He wants his comfort blanket and that's that.
God could have programmed Adam to be able to walk and talk, but that gets into Adam having a lack of free will because he couldn't choose what he knew.
Look, boy. I'll be straight and clear.Embedded age is 'maturity without history' -- it's that simple.
Can God create a stale loaf of bread tomorrow?
There can be no history without the passage of time -- and no time passed. So, just the mere fact that his body was that of a 30-something-year-old, indicates a history.
Thank you -- God be with ye as well --Now, good bye sir.
There doesn't need to be passage of time when God is involved. When God created Adam as a 30-something-year-old, by that act, he imbued Adam with at least apparent history. There can be no history without the passage of time -- and no time passed.
Adam came on the scene at the speed of God's will.
Look, boy. I'll be straight and clear.
Your embedded age is rubish.
It' just a lamentable ad hoc hypothesis wich only reason of existence is to try to save an erronous reading of the bible. And ad hoc hypotesises are very often a sign of sloppy thinking.
Your bible is wrong about nearly everthing is says that we can check. That's not surprising: it was written by bronze age people from the Middle East. Not surprisingly it contains nothing that doesn't belong to their world view: no mentionning of any country outside the Middle east, no mentionning of any plant or animal outside the Middle East.
Your embedded age "theory" is just made up for saving your bible, though it fails abyssimally. There is no way to verify your claims, so there is no single reason to spend more time on it. You have had your opportunity, you failed.
Now, good bye sir.
By having him repeat what he said. How do you rep a post twice
And this is where AV runs into an insoluble problem. If adam is given a history that never happened, what is adam actually remembering? It doesn't make sense. And as Bananaslug pointed out, if adam is completely made by god, with his mind and everything in his mind made by god, where does that leave freewill? You have to live and learn and grow and experience by yourself in order to become you, and make the sort of decisions that you would make. There isn't any other way of doing it. AV just ignores this. There doesn't need to be passage of time when God is involved. When God created Adam as a 30-something-year-old, by that act, he imbued Adam with at least apparent history.

I think embedded age mixed with embedded time eliminates the need for history. No, God could do it but if he did he would be deceiving. Age implies the passage of time. The passage of time is history.
I'm very impressed by this question.God would be deceptive, or the bread -- interpreted in line with how bread should arrive (i.e. fresh) -- would be deceptive?
Thank you, bro!I'm very impressed by this question.
Thank you, bro!
Too bad they can't impress us with the answer, eh?
