At Lepanto the one with the most guns lost. Bigly.
I read this on "the battle of lepanto"

While soldiers on board the ships were roughly matched in numbers, an advantage for the Christians was the numerical superiority in guns and cannon aboard their ships. It is estimated that the Christians had 1,815 guns, while the Turks had only 750 with insufficient ammunition.

So I was half joking .. but was this about another conflict?

The Ottomans had a 278 to 209 advantage in the number of ships. Ships that were normally designed to ram. They also had superior number of archers, which I would rather have instead of reloading muskets for close quarter battle. The thing that won the battle was a shift in the wind more than anything. And maybe that the Ottomans used slaves, mostly Christian slaves, for oarsmen. The League used free men. My opinion is that the Turks had the advantage. Had the wind held they would have scored a great victory, But the breath of God is at the direction of God.
