Why can't we all get along?

I agree just as we all agree that the faith should not be watered down or compromised as incomplete. I believe that we can do this in a way that does not bash each other. Perhaps by sticking to one subject at a time as it is discussed without so many side roads? Perhaps by choosing words that are not hard but soft even with truth. By realizing that our truth is not everyones, we may want to teach them but it is still up to the Holy Spirit to convict them of truth and for them to accept it.

I agree 100% Bill.

The Holy Spirit is the only real teacher we have - He will always bring us into the truth if we don't try to over-ride His leading.

I think that it is in perception when someone says we can't get along. I can get along as long as I am respected and respect others for their difference opinions and difference in faiths. Where the problems are is when someone thinks they are going to change me with the power of intimidation and then I am going to stand up and not allow myself to be intimidated or false perceptions about what I have said to be misinterpreted to wrangle and twisted approach to suit them. I will confront it every time. I don't think the bullying is right and I don't think that because someone is shouting at me that I should okay sweet christian I gotcha. I absolutely refuse to allow myself to be treated in this manner and I hope others won't allow it either. As far as allowing for diffrence in opinion, that is being done and as far as discussion and debating that is not fighting that is just debating and discussing the different points of views. I do not consider this not getting along but merely showing to the different understandings of belief systems. I think we get along pretty good most of the time.

there are some though that no matter what is being said, they just want to throw stones, call names, violate rules and most of the time get away with it.

I know one for example that believes it is a call from God to them to annihilate a specific group of people.

This one goes around like Indiana Jones after the Holy Grail.

As I have sat back and watched for a week, I have seen some of the most ungodly hatred come as a result.
This in not what being a believer is about. To discuss and debate is cool but to hate and discriminate is nothing more than ungodly.
