hi evreyone, i'm bumata. often thought about this myself many times. i personally believe in reincarnation so death doesn't exist in my mind the way it does in many other christian minds. i truly believe that we make our own heaven and hell, and when we pass on, wherever we go, it is our own thought process that decides the outcome. christ is my savior, and my guru. i believe i'm going to heaven because christ made it possible for the common sinner to become pure through his crucifiction. all others who haven't yet accepted his love, and accepted that Christ's omnipresent consciousness is the only vessel for true redmption and entrance into the kingdom of God, are "damned" to be reborn until they do, or until the world ends and they have to endure "hell" for an "eternity".
I also beleive the kingdom of God is all around us, as it says in the gospel of thomas, we just exist on a plane where we cannot percieve it. Jesus spoke many times about "the inner man" refering to the pure holy spirit within us all we must awaken by turning inward and facing ourselves in order to live up to our own divine nature as children of God.
" go and close your door and be alone with God"
it's very important to me to pray , but its just as if not more important to listen in silence and shut off the ramblings of my mind. reading the bible , prayer ,morallity and church are all very essential aspects of christian life, but the word of God was meant for us to interpret personally and with an open mind, for the depth of the truths taught by Christ are so subtly filled with meaning on so many levels, i aspire to awaken as many braincells as possible to understand them.
