Why are you Single?

Hello - I'm new here and came across this thread and thought I'd jump in.

I'm single for several reasons:
1. My last relationship failed - I made some stupid mistakes and we just weren't a good fit after 4 years.

2. I think God has something bigger planned for me.

3. I needed to focus on me for a while and learn who I am since I've put my life on hold for guys for way too long.

4. And, I think I needed to find happiness within myself first.

5. I needed to get my life back right with God.

6. God is in control of finding my soulmate...not me anymore.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone on here!

I'd like to stay single for awhile in order to get a better handle on who I am and what my goals are. I don't want to get side tracked, and because I'm all over the place right now, dating would inevitably sidetrack me. I want to make sure that I have a solid plan of action set up for myself - get degree, get job, become financially independent.

(Male Speaking Here) I think this makes you more attractive to the opposite sex anyway. I look for more then a pretty face and a good personality, someone who has their act together is a definite requirement for me. So with that being said, good luck with that!

I'm single because I think it's just not the right thing for me at the moment. I'm just at a really bad place in life right now and I have some things to sort out before I can start dating, and that alone is probably enough to make me an unattractive prospect.

Many, many reasons. Here is a list:

1.) Lack of confidence.
2.) Not finding decent guys.
3.) The only guys who like me are creeps or desperados.Why else would they like me?
4.) The guys I end up liking probably don't like me back.
5.) Not mentally or financially ready for a relationship.
6.) No desire for relationship.
7.) God has other plans for me.
8.) I feel sick at the thought of someone liking me.

I guess i haven't met the right one yet. Guys either ignore me , or make fun of me. I haven't met anyone that i was enough for and who truly loved and respected me, except for my ex and he was afraid to commit to me.

I am just curious as to why many people are staying single.

My answer to my own question is that God has not shown me the guy he wants me to be with. I am not looking for a guy, I am trusting God that if there is someone he wants me to be with, that he will show me in due time.

2) I'm too poor to take a girl on a date. (see signature about college bill)
3) I don't have a driver's license.
4) I don't have time.
5) relationships are not exactly a 'high' priority in life right now.
6) there's nothing to do in this part of the county except racing, smoking dope and being extremely promiscuous.
7) I find too much amusement in harassing my friends that are not single!

Hate to break it to you, but $1000 is a drop in the bucket. You could easily finance your entire college education (10s of thousands of dollars) and be in some real debt.

And what part of Washington do you live in? I lived in WA up until 2002... I thought there was plenty to do in Seattle Just not a very travel friendly place. And terrible selection? Hehe yeah, I guess that's true lol. I find there are more attractive women here in VA.
