  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Why Are You An Adventist.

Why are you? I ask this question as I am between churches. I hate to state it, but this last election in the U.S made me think very hard about Christianity. This last election, conservative Evangelical Christians gave me the impression that in order to be a good Christian one must vote Republican. For one, I believe political parties have little to do with Christianity.

God has called his people to follow his ways not mans. This world is just a stopping ground on our way home. As an Adventist I believe in the spirit of Prophecy and the counsel God has given his people through it. One counsel is that in regards to politics and voting we are to vote accordingly on issues regarding and upholding Gods laws. example- prohibition, equal rights, religious freedom, etc... not on canidates. when we look at the problems in todays churches in regards to supporting canidates we see why. We live to prepare for Heaven not for glory wealth or position in this world.Allow God to lead you to a church that teaches and nurtures according to the word of God and not based on political affiliation.

I say this in humility...

I am a Seventh-day Adventist because there isn't anything else out there that I'm aware of that is closer to the truth.

I'm Adventist for one reason only. I read the Bible and I sought out a church that taught what it says.

Like Sophia, I am Christian first.

I see e-mails going around about how we should be outraged because certain "religious" holidays are being snuffed out and in my heart I know these are just little things to take our eyes off of the ball.

When you know the truth, it's hard not to recognize when the truth is being stepped on.
