I'm honestly curious...does anyone know why there aren't different genres available to discuss? Where's the rock & roll or the metal or the rap? Doesn't anyne else think there should be a LOT more genres on the forum?

Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.
Why are there only 7 music genres to discuss?

Rock, metal, rap, etc. are all lumped into the vague "secular music" category. Over the years there have been people lobbying for the addition of subforums for various genres, but nothing's really happened. I'm not sure why, it could be a lack of mods, a perceived lack of enough discussion in a genre to really warrant its own place, or something else entirely...
On the subject of genre divisions, I always thought it was odd that there are separate forums for Contemporary Christian and Praise & Worship music -- why not "Christian music" as a counterpart for "secular music"?
