Why are people unable to meet God?

People are unhappy because they are separated from God.
Lift apart from God brings misery.
Then why are people unable to meet God?


1. It is because people have been separated from God.
1) Their spirits are dead. Ephesians 2:1
2) God’s spirit has left them.
(1) Original man – God’s spirit was with man. Genesis 1:27
(2) After the fall, God’s spirit left and people became spiritually dead.
Therefore, without a constant blood sacrifice,
People are immediately cursed. Cain
(3) When God’s spirit left, Satan’s spirit took control. 1 Corinthians 2:12

3) They became ignorant of God’s will because even their knowledge
and wisdom become dim. 2 Thessalonians 2:10-11

4) Even though they hear God’s Word, they cannot understand it. 2 Corinthians 4:4-5

2. People try to meet God.
1) Humankind is a spiritual being, so we instinctively seek God.
2) People think they can meet God through sincerity, but they fail to do so.
3) People think religion is the answer, so they zealously live a religious life.
Matthew 12:43-45
4) People try to meet God through philosophy, but they fail and become emptier.
Colossians 2:8-9
5) This is all because people do not know what Original sin is.

3. If you are not saved, you cannot meet God.
1) You must be saved first to meet God.
2) Without being born again, you cannot see God. John 3:3-5
3) Salvation is freedom from Satan, destiny and fate.
4) Salvation is breaking free from sin.
5) Salvation is deliverance from the power of Hell.
6) Hell is the place designated for Satan’s children. Matthew 25:41
7) Heaven is the place for God’s children.


4. Just as a corpse cannot move, a dead soul’s efforts are useless.
1) The efforts of the unsaved result merely in external changes.
2) These efforts are good, but they do not merit salvation.
3) Nothing on Earth is worthy of Heaven.


5. Why are you unable to gain salvation through effort?
1) You cannot revive your spirit with your own efforts.
2) You cannot revive your spirit with the help of others.
3) No other hero has ever been sent to the Earth to defeat Satan. Acts 4:12
4) Salvation is God’s gift of grace. Ephesians 2:8-9

6. Healing – Nightmares
1) Health problems – regular exercise, balanced lifestyle, nutrition
2) Meditative prayer – meditate holding to the Word
3) Scheduled prayer – Daniel 6:10,22 Genesis 13:18 Acts 3:1 Acts 16:16-31

I know one thing for sure, in our human state, God is far, far too powerful for us to be in His [full] presence. Oh man, no human words can describe this unbelievable power.

Remember Jesus said they are unable to come to him JN 6.... so they can not and will not.

God dwells within you and works through you. God is Love so if people see, accept or experience true Godly type love, they are experiencing God Himself.

Some people do not at least for a time want anything to do with a totally unselfish, unconditional type of Love and will not experience it. While others are eager to know about God and His Love.

The main “blame” for people not knowing (meeting) God is me or you?

And yet our meeting of God, and union with Him, is only partial at best here on earth. It begins here.
"For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known." 1 Cor 13:12
We will never be completely satisfied until we see Him "face to face".
