I'm in a crisis situation at the moment, and I've been crying non-stop for weeks, feelilng depressed even suicidal at times I even posted a prayer request http://www.christianforums.com/t5536049-desperately-need-prayer.html

I'm facing financial ruin and everything I do to try and remedy situation results in failure. Even my family refuses to help me when I was counting on their help(they tell me "you're on your own!")

Every time I pray, believe and thank God for answering my prayers, the result is opposite! It's like a slap in the face! Why is he doing this??? I don't even think he's listening anymore...:(

The Lord is listening to your prayers and has a solution, but sometimes His solutions are bigger than we can fathom....God see's a much larger picture and is not as interested in your financial status as He is in your growth and the salvation of others! If you are stressed out about finances, then you are not really trusting in God to provide the way and that all things work to the good to those who love God. It may be that you are putting trust in money rather than God....i am not saying this is the case....just saying it may be the case.....onlt The Lord knows. The Lord tells us to not worry, not doubt.....but that we are to Trust!...Even and espescially when we don't see the way! I noticed that your faith is waivering over finances.....indeed you need to accept Christ as your Savior 100% nomatter what happens! Your faith shouldn't waiver nomatter what happens! It is probably so that you may grow in your faith that you are going through these things.....don't assume God is not listening just because you can't see the answer......instead trust that He IS listening and has a solution already planned, even if things don't go as you think they should. You may not see the answer for several years.....just know that He knows whats best and will carry you if you trust!

God Bless!

I know this must be frusterating for you, but remember that God answers every prayer. Every single one is answered. You know what the answers are? "Yes", "Wait", or "No". Why would God say no though in something like this? If He is indeed saying no, embrace God, because it is for the greater good and to bring Him more glory. His line of thought is so much higher than ours. I heard the example that us understanding everything God knows would be like an ant understanding everything about the internet. God is so much higher than us, and he truly is all we need. God says that the poor are blessed, because they are rich in faith. And I truly think that those of us who have such comfort in America truly don't depend on God for everything. Did you know that 53% of the entire world live on $2 a day? Even people going through financial struggles in America are filthy rich compared to the rest of the world. I hope this helps to put some things in perspective :) I'll be praying for you, and I hope you are able to seek God and submit to His will through this.

maybe you should sit down with a trained Christian counselor especially with the depression and suicidal thoughts
when anyone is in that state they usually dont make good decisions
maybe the outside perspective would help

I'm understanding alll of this on an intellectual level, but I have practically no money left until I get paid at the end of the month and when that happens it will be gone within a day and then it will start all over again!!!Yes, Jesus is my Lord and Saviour and yes, I'm trusting in Him but I'm close to reaching my breaking point....

I have a bi-polar disorder and I'm very emotional. Always up and down. This situation is affecting my emotional state and my family (who are not Chrsitians) being so unkind towards me is making this very hard for me to bear. I'm sorry to be such a pain...

My wife and i were homeless for a total of 6 months in central Phoenix and The Lord provided everyday. Though we were homeless, The Lord grew us and they were some of the best days of our life. Trust in God.....remember, there is nothing to big or impossible for God! He can and does work miracles.....devote yourself entirely to Him and a way will be provided!

Hi MC,

I'm understanding alll of this on an intellectual level, but I have practically no money left until I get paid at the end of the month and when that happens it will be gone within a day and then it will start all over again!!!
Many of us cannot understand what it is like to be at the bottom of the pit, when it comes to finances. But, we experience much of that through those people who experience one of those hurdles of life.

I guess I have heard many say exactly the same thing as you have, when the world falls around you.

I guess being an ex-alcoholic, and when I was at the bottom of the pit, I possibly felt the same as you.

But, even when I was like this HE picked me up, dust me off, and patted me on the bum and said keep going.

I kept going and then that day I worked through the doors of the church once again, and began a new walk in my life with our Lord Jesus Christ.

MC, you can do the same. But, no doubt you need someone who can put their arms around you and give you a big hug and let you rest your head on their shoulder. HE is there right now and HE is hugging you right now, and HE is saying to you right now, MonCeur I LOVE YOU!
Yes, Jesus is my Lord and Saviour and yes, I'm trusting in Him but I'm close to reaching my breaking point....
Breaking point is when truth begins to come forth.

Stop my dear sister, right now, and see what value there is in allow the breaking point to push you off your walk with our Lord Jesus Christ.

We do not judge our Lord by what is going on in the lives of all others who are around us, who we believed would help us at the time of need.

Our Lord is working in those people's lives right now as HE is working in your life, MC.

Don't give up my dear sister.

Have you spoken to your pastor?

Have you spoked to a good God-anointed CHristian counsellor?

I have a bi-polar disorder and I'm very emotional. Always up and down.
Yes, I understand it fully, and you can overcome and conquer these obstacles, slowly, and one by one. I suffer much the same, but my love for our Lord Jesus Christ keeps me going.
This situation is affecting my emotional state and my family (who are not Chrsitians) being so unkind towards me is making this very hard for me to bear.
One of the hardest things for a Christian to accept is being a Christian.

A Christian forgives and loves.

So please forgive your family, speak your prayer out to our Lord Jesus Christ loud and from your heart and pray this prayer right now:

Heavenly Father, I come to You, through our Lord Jesus Christ and I confess and repent my sins of unforgiveness and I ask You, Lord to forgive me. I forgive my family for my hurt that I feel for them for not helping me in this time of need, in Jesus' Name.

Thanks You, Jesus, it is finished!

When our Lord died on the cross HE said, "Forgive them Lord they know not what they do!"
I'm sorry to be such a pain...
Your no pain my dear sister, you are a Child of God!

My sister,

First and foremost I want to thank God for what he's about to do in your life. I to have been to the bottom of the pits the worst of the worst, no home, no money and even at times when i thought there was no way out. But God is a God of action not of reaction, he knew your needs even before you bowed your head and ask him for it. Instead of focusing on what you dont have you should praise God for what you do have. Our bible teaches us that we should worry over nothing but pray over everything. Just because he didnt answer you when you wanted him to, that doesnt mean that he doesnt hear your cry. Whenever you feel discouraged cry out unto the Lord and ask him for strength. As others have said sometimes God will allow certain things to happen in your life to see just how much you are going to trust him. Be encouraged trouble doesnt last always. I love you and so does our God. We claim the victory right now in the name of Jesus! May God bless you and keep you.

Your Brother In Christ,

Demetris

You are not alone in your financial situation.
Millions of other Americans have been there too.

God (apparently) wants you to taste how it feels to lose a lot of your Earthly things.
So, Let Go.
I have been completely out of money before. I lived for months in a station wagon.
It is inconvenient, but it is STILL living.

God "tests" each person in Life.
Some people get tested by receiving vast wealth.
I am glad I never got that one.

While not to the same extreme as you I have money trouble. I am not a good manager of money. I can't keep my checkbook balanced which leads to more fees and bounced checks. I am a smart man I should be able to figure this out, but I just have trouble doing it. I have even taken a class, Financial Peace University, and cannot get a real handle on my finances. It hurts when you are afraid to open your mailbox because there might be another bill or something you didn't count on.

So you are not alone. And you are not a pain. We all have our struggles and we are told to share our burdens. I pray you are guided and comforted in this area.

There's a story in the Bible, the Disciples and Jesus are out in the water in a ship. All of a sudden a storm arises out of no where. The stoorm is fierce and it SEEMS UNENDING. They go to Jesus and wake Him up crying out, saying they fear their lives. Jesus' reply shocked me. He called them little faith. The Disciples that have followed him from place to place, are now little faith?

The Message Jesus was conveying in this story was that though the storm may overcome you and and it may do more than rock your boat, God above will not let you parrish. You have accepted the bringer of LIFE to be part of you. He shall not let the storm destroy you.

We're also promised that our pains, will not go without purpose.

Aside from the text I have a personal story.
My family was rich. 160grand+ easily a year rich I'd say. But then the bussiness fell, entirely. Bankrupted, without a home and a split up family we moved forward. Though at the time it seemed hopeless, and many more times in my life it seemed hopeless, somehow I've made it though. And that some how is God.

So you'll make it, just worry less, do what you can, and pray hard, God listens, and God's with you.
