What a great question! The short answer is no. Building confidence in God often means waiting for answers without giving up. Delay is not unusual. It is a part of the process of building spiritual muscle. Do a word study on faith and look how often patience (more accurately endurance) is mentioned at the same time. God's always answers prayer - yes, no or wait.

How to build confidence in God? Read His Word daily. Get it in your mind and replace all of the garbage up there.
Quick answer to prayer? Make sure you are not praying in conflict with His Word. Look there first for your answers. Then wait. He never promised immediate answers except for the prayer of forgiveness and the reception of salvation.

God is God, not something made up in our imagination. So He's in control, and our hearts need to be humbled to realize that first off. There is no manipulating God for a quick answer; however, He loves us more than we can imagine. That love protects us, encourages us, corrects us, rebukes us, chastens us, prunes us, and creates a situation where the end result is that we are people like Him. It is important to study your Bible to see what God is really like, so you can avoid imagining Him to be something different and live in error.

I agree with what greengardener wrote. If you think about it, His children don't have to be concerned with quick answers to prayer because God always has the best interests of His children in mind. The signs for answers have already been given in the person of Jesus Christ and in the resurrection. That is why we pray in Jesus name and in His will. That is our highest desire: that our prayers would be in concert with God's will for us and those we lift up in prayer.
Material possessions, wealth, fame, and all that goes along with the world's system - all that man esteems - is an abomination to God. Too many churches are caught up in craving the world, and treating God as if He is a genie or Aladdin's lamp, and teaching their people that there are keys to unlocking God's storehouse of wealth so you can become rich. That is not how prayer works.
Just pray and trust God for the outcome.
But first you must be saved.

The best you can do is stay in the Word and obey the light you are given. Stay in yielded submission. That gets you out of the way so that YOU are not delaying things any more than necessary. But that doesn't mean things will actually happen quickly. The thrice-holy God has His eyes on root issues, and they often take time to work out.
