In Revelation 7 there are 12 tribes mentioned as "sealed":

Juda(h)
Reuben
Gad
Aser (Asher)
Nephthalim (Naphtali)
Manasses
Simeon
Levi
Issachar
Zabulon (Zebulun)
Joseph
Benjamin

No Ephraim.
No Dan.

In the O.T., The Tribe of Joseph was "split" into two distinctions according to his 2 sons, Ephraim and Manasses. I suppose you could say that Ephraim is represented in the "sealing" by the mention of Joseph as a tribe (Why Manasses is mentioned and Joseph is mentioned, but not Ephraim?), but that does not explain the conspicuous absence of the Tribe of Dan.

This small omission intrigues me and I was just wondering if anyone had revelation (pardon the small pun) on this...perhaps from something you've read on it, or something the Holy Spirit has revealed to you, or from your own study?

Thx in advance,

Hmmm...

I read the passages you mentioned.

#1: Dan.
#2: ? I'm not sure I see the connection here to either Ephraim or Dan.
#3: Definately can see the sin of Dan here.
#4: Also can definately see the sin of Dan here.

What about Ephraim? I don't note mention of them in any of the passages you name.

Thank you, for the responce, by the way!!

If you have any more insight into this matter, I would greatly appreciate more areas to study.

Thx again,

Joseph and Levi appear to be replaced by Dan and Ephraim in ezekiel. Dan and Ephraim were of the nothern tribe of Israel and they appear to be leading the charge against Jerusalem. I actually view the 2 beast of revlation as 2 nations, the House of Israel[10 tribes/gentiles] and the House of Judah[Jerusalem]. But that is just a view I have. God bless.:preach:

Jeremiah 4:14 O Jerusalem, wash your heart from wickedness, That you may be saved. How long shall your evil thoughts lodge within you? 15 For a voice declares from Dan And proclaims affliction from Mount Ephraim: 16 "Make mention to the nations, Yes, proclaim against Jerusalem, [That] watchers come from a far country And raise their voice against the cities of Judah.

Jeremi 1:14 Then the LORD said to me: "Out of the north calamity shall break forth On all the inhabitants of the land. 15 For behold, I am calling All the families of the kingdoms of the north[notice the "10 kings" in revelation?]," says the LORD; "They shall come and each one set his throne At the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, Against all its walls all around, And against all the cities of Judah. 16 I will utter My judgments Against them concerning all their wickedness, Because they have forsaken Me, Burned incense to other gods, And worshiped the works of their own hands.

Hosea 8:8 Israel[10 tribes] is swallowed up; Now they are among the Gentiles Like a vessel in which [is] no pleasure.

Jeremiah 3:8 "Then I saw that for all the causes for which backsliding Israel [10 northern scattered tribes] had committed adultery, I had put Her away and given Her a certificate of divorce; yet her Treacherous Sister Judah[2 southern tribes] did not fear, but went and played the Harlot also.
