  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am very thankful for a place on this forum that is specifically dedicated to offering praise and thankfulness to our Father God. As the Lord said in Psalms 50:23 "Whoso offers praise, glorifies me." Thank you Father that it is your Son in us that offers these pure offerings of praise.

Thank you Father for the abundant harvest of beautiful, blemish free tomatoes that you provided from the garden yesterday and that my Grandmother and mother are now busy in the kitchen canning them! It’s so wonderful to be able to can those we can’t eat right away and save them up for the winter months. It’s a joy to hear how much fun they are having in the kitchen … oh, here they are calling for me to move another large pot of boiling water… It’s so much fun, and what a blessing it is to have such flavorful tomatoes during the growing season and beyond! :)

At this time of year (and in this part of Texas) the weather can either be very muggy and hot or very dry and hot. Thankfully neither has been the case in this year's June. It’s unheard of to go from one pleasant week to the next. Cool fronts from the north keep the day temperates comfortable, regular partly to fully cloudy days keeps the sun from "smiting us by day", and regular rains keeps everything green and thriving! Thank you Father for making the weather so pleasant and conducive for this year’s outstanding vegetation growth! The garden, the trees, the grass, and the shrubs are all growing like they are in a race of their lives! Awesome!
