CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Elizabeth Frye, because she left what was comfortable and went into an ugly situation to bring the light of Christ to the lost.
Rich Mullins, because he lived to tell people about Jesus.
My Grandma, because she continued to be faithful to God despite many losses and setbacks in her life. At the end, when she was dying, whne others might dwell on what they didn't have, she spoke mighty words of praise for the goodness of God, and never complained about what He had taken away.

ive got alot. first off the best one GOD for sending his son to die for my sins tho i dont deserve it he did it for m salvation in hopes that i'd take the free gift he put out there for me. i love you lord!
my parents if they hadnt brought me to the church im at i would have never found the lord or the great friends i have in the ministry and the church.
my youth group has taught me alot and they are truley my heros showing me it's ok to mess up everybody does but i am forgiving and i thank them everyday for that.
to make a specific hero in the youth group i have about 3, first off Andy the first man ive ever seen cry..he's very special(im gonna cry) but he's shown me alot,how a man really should treat a woman.
Jason my sunday school teacher the second guy ive seen break down and ive really gotten close to him latley and he's a very special dude the love of god totally shines through him.
Katie and wendy-so much joy with god,so strong in their faith, they have all the qualities to have, and most important they have the love of god totally shining through them.
last but not least the people on this forums! having such great qualities and showing me it's ok to hurt,it's ok to cry, it's ok to be so down that everyones been there,and yall have shown me what it's like to be able to laugh and cry and have joy in my life, many of you have such a strong quality:a love of god shining in your life,i can really tell yall are really saved and you really have fun with the lord, you guys are such great people(im gonna start to cry again) i want to thank yall so much for being their for me at my WORST moments when i was very hard to get along with.

Jesus is constantly mentioned in this thread as a Hero. For that I am glad. Naturally Christ is a "hero" to every Christian or shoule be. To me that one goes without saying. So glad to see everyone agrees on Jesus.

My Mentor/basketball coach. He's showed me so much about life. Most importantly...he showed me Christ. I can never repay him for what he's done for me. God Bless him. As Always--Sara

Today, my son, Christian is my hero. He did something that proof to me that he is an adult now
