I'm posting this for my best friend,I've been trying to get her interested in this forum cause I just love it so much, She's probably the best person I have ever known.When my sister was dying with cancer,she took off work for a year and never left my sisters side.She wrote this down last night and asked me to post it.
Are we in the advertizing business? Do we wear clothing that makes it brand names for all to see? Levi's,Wrangler,Izod,ect;
What brand of vehicle do we drive?How old is it and how many miles?What type of neighborhood do we park it in?
Are you starting to get the picture? We all are representitives,the question is,Who do we represent?What is it that tells if we are Christ's representitives?
Do we dare to be the good Samaritain when the easiest thing to do is drive on by? If we stop to help someone on the road or at work or an outreach center,do we do it because they need help? Or do we do it to get a thank you? they might not even appreciate us or what if we get ripped off in the process somehow,just by trying to be nice? What if we lend and they don't pay us back? What if we don't get any recognition for doing it? Why did Jesus do things? He bails us all out over and over and someone sais {You sure were lucky man}.We recover from a bad illness and we are so thankfull for the antibiotics or the doctors,where is his recognition,where is his thank you?A storm comes and we escape the lightning,the water and the wind and we think we are so lucky and mother nature sure was good to us.Mother nature? My G-d is in control of the wind,rain and the weather of the entire globe.When we spend our money and our time do we really consider G-d's will? When we go into an R rated movie with Jesus in our hearts does he go with us and hear the actors taking his name in vain? Is he deaf and blind to it? Is it right for us to pay our money to see such things? How did he say we fall into temptation anyway? We let it in and it stays there and then we fall to temptation because we were the ones to let it in.In the first place while we are so busy with work and going to this over here and running to that over there,how much consideration do we give to what the fathers will is for us? Isn't he in the small things also? I think there is an old Jewish custom to test employees at wich you leave a nickel lying around.If the employee pockets the nickel and sais no big deal.Can the employer really trust that employee? If he can't trust him with so little a thing can he trust us with a big matter?
Are we taking devotion time out for study and prayer? What is it actually that makes us diffrent from the lost? Do we really care that they are living and dying and going to Hell all around us? Is our witness that we say we go to church every sunday? If we listen to the same jokes,go to the same movies,wear the same clothes without regard to temptation to someone else,Who do we represent? Where do we draw the line? We rationalize so many things in our lives and our responsibility is so great.We are all so guilty of not seeking the will of G-d in every aspect.
Do the big things really break us or is it really the little things?
